So am assuming(due to almost identical condition and presentation) that this Placer County geologic map dates to the 1880s as well- also, final 3 photos were taken in very poor light, so the map appears unnaturally gold in color- I wanted to show just some of the flaws in the maps condition(assorted rips or tears, mostly along foldlines) and apologize for the poor photos this map possibly was removed from a gazette or atlas ~ it was prepared by the California State Mining Bureau.
