VINTAGE PA. COAL MINERS PICK WITH ORIGINAL HANDLE ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE DISPLAY ITEM
Here is an old miners pick used in a Pennsylvania coal mine many years ago. Still a stout piece with a little over 13 inch iron 2 working sides pick with an overall length of over 32 inches. Will look great hanging on the wall as a vintage display piece. Or could even still be used. Shipping will be 14.00 in the lower 48 and THANKS for looking.

ANTIQUE VTG PROSPECTING COAL SILVER GOLD MINERS MINING ROCK HAND TOOL PICK AXE
What a wonderful piece of Americana this is. It is a very old prospectors pick that would have been used in a coal. Gold or silver mine. I think the handle is original and has a very nice grain. The handle had a piece of tape around it when I got it and that explains the lighter ring around the handle. There is no damage where the tape was though. One tip of the pick is vertical and the other is horizontal. It is a 2 pound head(stamped, see pic 4) This item is so good and so tight I would not be afraid to use it right now but of course that would be highly irresponsible as historic items like this deserve preservation. Pick is 29" long.

Vintage coal miners pick-7 lb. head-original handle-great piece!!
Here is a nice old coal miners pick that was hand forged with original handle and makers mark! It has a 7 lb. Head which is 15" long and has a 26" long handle. The handle is a little loose and can be easily fixed by setting the handle wedge a little deeper-I'll leave that up to the new owner! The company became a large employer and mining tools were shipped to most of the known world. The tools and equipment were made to exacting standards and were in high demand. Probably from the 30's, it was used in the drift mines in central Pa. the head is 9' long, the handle is 13 3/4' long. the only letters I see on it is a P. the handel does come out of the pick head. don't look bad for its age. please look at pictures, selling as a collectable.
