Not looking for the complexity or drama of contouring but still want a way to bring out your best features? Give strobing a try! Strobing is a technique of using layers of highlight to bring out the high points on your face - like the cheekbones - and by doing that, you de-emphasize other aspects like the hollows of the cheeks to create a balanced look.
