It’s always
very disappointing when we buy products after craving them for a long time, expecting
great results but then we try them out
they don’t work as they should! Experience taught me what qualities products
have to have to work for me, but sometimes I still make mistakes and, when
these mistakes involve high end products the disappointment is even worst!
Luckily for my wallet last year I’ve been disappointed by only two high end
products, which is not bad, but let’s see them in details:
Nyx liquid
liner: I don’t know if mine was old and dry when I purchased it but it
basically didn’t write at all, I couldn’t use it not even once, I had to throw
it away because it seemed like there was no product inside. Have you bought it?
Let me know if it was just mine or if it’s not pigmented at all!
Kiko sphere
cream highlighter: it was part of a Christmas limited edition, I fell in love
with the packaging, as you can see it’s a sphere, very cute, and I bought both
shades available. Colors are beautiful, they are pigmented and buildable but
the texture is very flaky as you can see, it basically crumbles when I touch it
with a brush and it doesn’t get better if I use my fingers, it’s actually worse
because it takes away my foundation for a horrible patchy result. It’s a creamy
product but the texture is bouncy, I think it was supposed to be a cream to
powder. Even if it wasn’t too expensive I’ve been disappointed because I liked
it a lot!
Lancome
hypnose doll mascara: I’ve always loved and used Lancome mascaras, they were my
favorite years ago so I thought this one would have been a great mascara but I
was wrong! It’s by far the worse mascara I’ve tried last year, it doesn’t give
volume, it doesn’t give length, it does nothing for my lashes and, to add
insult to injury, it melts during the day and I end up looking like a panda! I
have never had this issue with any mascara, not even very low cost ones, so
I’ve been very disappointed.
Nyx vivid
bright liquid liner: I love these liners, they’re pigmented, colors are unique,
the applicator works well, I bought them in almost every shade available!
What’s the problem, then, you may ask? The problem is they dry up really fast,
I had to throw most of them away after three-four months of use and that’s a
bummer. I do close them tight, I always double check so it’s not that, it’s
never happened to me in the past, it’s actually the consistency: they’re quite
thick that’s why they’re so pigmented, but the con is they don’t last long.

Marc jacobs
remarcable foundation: after hearing so many people raving about this
foundation I had to buy it! It was described as the most matte and full
coverage foundation ever, so I was all for it! It is matte but after few hours
of wearing it starts setting into my pores and it looks extremely patchy and
cakey, it’s horrible. It makes my skin look dry, but my skin is oily, I’ve
tried any kind of brush and it looks the same, I’ve tried the beauty blender
and nothing has changed. I don’t want to throw it away because it’s very
expensive so I mix a small amount of it with another foundation, that’s the
only way I can wear it.
Have you

È sempre deludente quando compriamo prodotti che abbiamo
desiderato a lungo aspettandoci grandi risultati ma poi, dopo averli provati,
scopriamo che non erano quello che ci aspettavamo! Con l’esperienza ho capito
quali sono le caratteristiche che un prodotto deve avere per andare bene per
me, ma qualche volta commetto ancora degli errori e, quando questi errori
riguardano prodotti costosi, la delusione è ancora più cocente! Fortunatamente
per il mio portafoglio lo scorso anno sono stata delusa solo da due prodotti di
alta profumeria, che non è un cattivo risultato, ma vediamoli nel dettaglio:
nyx liquid liner: non so se il mio fosse vecchio e secco
quando l’ho acquistato, ma praticamente non scriveva per niente, non l’ho
potuto usare nemmeno una volta, ho dovuto buttarlo perché sembrava non ci fosse
prodotto all’interno. Voi l’avete comprato? Fatemi sapere se era un problema
solo del mio o se non ha proprio pigmentazione!
Kiko sphere cream highlighter: faceva parte di un’edizione
limitata natalizia e mi sono innamorata del packaging che, come vedete, è a
forma di sfera, molto carino, e ho comprato entrambe le colorazioni
disponibili. I colori sono belli, sono pigmentati e modulabili ma la consistenza
è a scaglie come potete vedere,
praticamente si sbriciola appena lo tocco con un pennello, e la cosa non
cambia se uso le dita, anzi, peggiora perché porta via il fondotinta con un
orribile risultato a chiazze. È un prodotto in crema ma ha una consistenza
elastica, credo dovrebbe essere un prodotto che da crema diventa polvere. Anche
se non era molto costoso sono rimasta delusa perché mi piaceva molto!
Lancome hypnose doll mascara: ho sempre amato e usato I
mascara Lancome, erano i miei preferiti qualche anno fa, così ho pensato che
questo sarebbe stato un ottimo mascara, ma mi sbagliavo! È sicuramente il
peggior mascara che ho provato l’anno scorso, non dà volume, non allunga le
ciglia, non fa assolutamente niente e, come se non bastasse, si scioglie
nell’arco della giornata e mi fa sembrare un panda! Non ho mai avuto questo
problema con nessun mascara, nemmeno con quelli poco costosi, quindi sono
rimasta molto delusa.
Nyx vivid bright liquid liner: mi piacciono questi eyeliner,
sono pigmentati, i colori sono unici, l’applicatore è valido, li ho comprati
praticamente in tutte le colorazioni! Qual è il problema, vi chiederete? Il
problema è che si seccano molto velocemente, ho dovuto buttarli quasi tutti
dopo tre quattro mesi dall’apertura, ed è una fregatura. Io li chiudo bene e
controllo sempre, non è questo il problema, non mi era mai successo, penso che
sia proprio per via della loro consistenza: sono piuttosto densi, ecco perché
hanno una buona pigmentazione, ma il lato negativo è che non durano a lungo.
Marc jacobs remarcable foundation: dopo aver sentito tante
persone tessere le lodi di questo fondotinta ho dovuto comprarlo! Veniva
descritto come il fondotinta più opaco e più a lunga durata di sempre, quindi
mi sembrava facesse al caso mio! È opaco ma dopo poche ore mi si va a infilare
nei pori e diventa a chiazze e molto pesante, l’effetto è bruttissimo. Mi fa
sembrare la pelle secca, ma io ho la pelle grassa, ho provato con qualsiasi
pennello e il risultato non cambia, anche con la beauty blender è la stessa
cosa. Non voglio buttarlo perché costa molto quindi ne mischio pochissimo con
un altro fondotinta, è l’unico modo in cui posso usarlo.
