I have to
be honest and admit I’m not a fan of lipgloss, I’ve never used it much because
I don’t like the sticky feeling on my lips, I also have long hair and when it’s
windy it always gets stuck on my lips, and it’s very annoying! I received the
Balm lip gloss pretty smart thanks to my collaboration with the Balm Europe,here you can see my haul, and when I swatched it I like it because it was
pigmented, so I’ve been using it to add some shine to some lipsticks, and today
I’m ready to tell you what I think about it!

how it’s described: These lip glosses feature a

What I like
: it’s got a good pigmentation for a lipgloss, I’ve got the shade Pow!, a
vibrant fuchsia with tiny microglitters in it, and the color pay off is great,
I like using it on its own when I go for a soft and quick look, mostly in
summer when I want to look polished but not beat if you know what I mean! It comes in a see through tube with the
classic sponge applicator, that makes the application quick and easy. The
texture is not very sticky, if we compare it to Mac dazzleglass this one is way
silkier and easier to apply, and microglitters don’t feel chunky on your lips
at all, I find it comfortable to wear. It’s quite longlasting for a lipgloss,
around 2-3 hours for me, glitters don’t move and you’re not left with glittery
lips when it starts fading away. It looks gorgeous on top of hot pink and
fuchsia lipsticks , it gives them a nice shine and it plumps up your lips for a
fuller look! The color is buildable, after one coat you get a natural, semi
sheer look, after two coats you’ll get almost full coverage. Last thing I want to mention is the
packaging, it’s vintage comics style like all The Balm products, and I love it,
it’s unique and it makes me smile!
What I
don’t like : you have to be careful not to layer it too much, else it might bleed,
and I actually suggest to wear a lip pencil underneath to prevent it from
smudging and moving because, after all, it’s a lipgloss and it doesn’t stay on
like lipsticks. The only other cons I can find is they are a bit expensive,
definitely not a low cost products, but the quality is good and you get what
you pay for: it’s not your average lip gloss that vanishes in half an hour and
it’s as sticky as glue, so obviously you pay a bit more.
My verdict:
I like the formula and the color, I’ve been using it often because it’s not
gloppy and it’s pigmented, if I had to buy a lip gloss this would be one of my
first choices, it looks really nice on my lips and the quality is great!

Devo essere onesta con voi e ammettere che non amo particolarmente
i lucidalabbra, non li ho mai usati molto perché mi dà fastidio la sensazione
appiccicosa sulle labbra, inoltre ho i capelli lunghi e , ogni volta che c’è
vento, si appiccicano alle labbra con mio estremo disappunto! Ho ricevuto il
lucidalabbra pretty smart di The Balm grazie alla collaborazione con The Balm
Europe, di cui trovate i dettagli qui, e quando l’ho provato mi è subito
piaciuto perché è pigmentato, infatti lo sto usando per aggiungere un tocco di
brillantezza ad alcuni rossetti, e oggi vi dico cosa ne penso!
Vediamo come viene descritto: questi lucidalabbra si
presentano in una vasta gamma di colori che si impongono senza bisogno di
parlare. Il concetto di “impudente” acquista un nuovo significato con questa
formula unica fortificata con Ginseng, un potente antiossidante conosciuto per
le sue proprietà stimolanti della mente. Prezzo 15.00 $ - 20.00 €.
Cosa mi piace: ha una buona pigmentazione per essere un
lucidalabbra, io ho la colorazione Pow!, un fucsia deciso con microglitters
all’interno, e la resa è ottima, mi piace usarlo da solo quando opto per un
trucco veloce e delicato, specialmente in estate quando voglio avere un aspetto
curato ma non perfetto se così si può dire! Si presenta in una confezione
trasparente con il classico applicatore a spugnetta, che rende l’applicazione
semplice e veloce. La consistenza non è molto appiccicosa, ad esempio
comparandolo con i dazzleglass di Mac ci accorgiamo subito di quanto scivoli
meglio sulle labbra e sia più semplice da applicare, inoltre i microglitters
sono sottili e non si sentono sulle labbra, io lo trovo confortevole da
indossare. Ha una buona durata per essere un lucidalabbra, intorno alle 2-3 ore
per la mia esperienza,i glitters non si muovono e, quando il prodotto inizia a
svanire, non vi trovate le labbra ricoperte di brillantini. Sta benissimo
applicato sopra rossetti fucsia e rosa accesi, gli regala luminosità e fa
sembrare le labbra più piene! Il colore è modulabile, si ottiene un effetto
naturale e semi trasparente con una sola passata, ma dopo due passate la
copertura è pressoché totale. L’ultima cosa che voglio citare è la confezione,
in stile fumetti vintage , come tutte quelle The Balm, e a me piace moltissimo,
è unica e mi fa sorridere!
Cosa non mi piace: bisogna fare attenzione a non
stratificarlo troppo perché, in quel caso, potrebbe uscire dai bordi, io a
questo proposito consiglio di usare sempre una matita labbra abbinata , che
previene sbaffa ture perché, in fondo, stiamo parlando pur sempre di un
lucidalabbra che, per quanto valido, non avrà mai le stesse caratteristiche di
un rossetto. L’unica altra nota negativa che , secondo me, va citata, è il
prezzo: è un prodotto piuttosto costoso, ma c’è da dire che è un prodotto di
qualità , la qualità ha un costo. Non è il classico lucidalabbra che scompare
dopo mezz’ora e che appiccica le labbra, quindi ovviamente si paga un po’ di
più.
