Let’s go on
with my top lists for last year, and today it’s time to find out what nail
polishes I loved and used the most in 2014! Writing down this list has been
harder than I expected, because I am a true nail polish junkie , I own so many
(too many someone might say, never enough I would reply!) and I love them all,
it’s difficult to pick just five!
eventually I was able to come up with a top 5, even though I feel I left out many I think these five have been the ones I reached out the most last year, the ones I liked and enjoyed the most and they all deserve a place in my favourite list!

5. Delush
polish in teal death do apart: it’s an indie brand I found out last year, and I
like this nail polish because it is a unique shade, a pale pastel blue with
different size and color glitters ! two coats are needed to get an even
coverage, but it’s not one of those nail polishes you have to struggle to get
glitters on the applicator, that’s one of the reasons why I like it. It’s
definitely a nail polish you don’t see around, it’s not too flashy but it’s got
personality!
4. sephora
formula x: it’s got a place in my top 5 because last year I tried the formula x
for the first time, and I have to say I like the color and finish range and the
nail polish consistency. I bought just one so far, so I can talk about the one
I own just, and it’s a metallic turquoise shade that reminds me of the color of
the sea! I love blue in all its shades, and I think this one is really gorgeous,
it looks good in summer with a tan and it looks good on pale skin, it’s long
lasting , it doesn’t chip easily and it’s easy to apply for a metallic finish:
it’s not too streaky and not too liquid, even though it’s not as thick as cream
nail polishes but that’s to be expected with this kind of formula.
3. Kiko sun
show nail lacquers : they came out with the life in rio collection, last
summer, and they are absolutely amazing! I own almost 400 nail polish and one
of the things that bothers me is that is hard to find a shade I don’t have
already or that I haven’t seen before, well Kiko has been able to surprise me
with the sun show nail lacquers! They are unique , I would describe them as
sparkly duo chrome but I think you need to look at them to really understand
how complex colors are! They are full of iridescences that make the color
change completely when hits by the sun, they are beautiful and they apply
easily and evenly; they are a bit sheer , you need two or three coats for full
coverage, but all in all they are awesome nail polishes!
2. kiko
nail polish nr 530: this one came out along with 60 new shades Kiko launched in
2014, and it’s one of my favourite! Very pigmented, good coverage after one
coat, very sparkly and shimmery, the shade is so gorgeous and I can’t get
enough of it! Just like all Kiko nail polishes it lasts 4-5 days without
chipping on my nails, and I don’t think I could ask for more for a 2.90 € nail
polish!

fancy top coats : I’ve got them all , I’m a sucker for glitters and sparkles
and when they came out I immediately fell in love with them! Again, for 4.90 €
you couldn’t ask for more: they’re not your usual glittery nail polish, these
are very cute and unique, there is one with heart shaped glitters, another one
with stars shaped glitters mixed with different sizes glitters on a sheer blue
base , they are a must have if you love sparkly nails like l do! You ‘ll get
glitters on your brush without having to twist it around , and they apply
pretty even , for me they are my number one of the year and they totally
deserve it!

Andiamo Avanti con le classifiche dei miei preferiti dell’anno,
e oggi è venuto il momento di scoprire quali sono gli smalti che ho amato e
usato di più nel 2014! Scrivere questa lista è stato più difficile di quanto mi
aspettassi, perché adoro gli smalti , ne possiedo molti( qualcuno direbbe che
sono troppi, ma io risponderei che non sono mai abbastanza!) e mi piacciono
tutti, sceglierne solo cinque è stata un’impresa ardua!
alla fine ci sono riuscita e, anche se mi sembra di averne esclusi tanti che meritavano di esserci, questi cinque sono quelli che ho usato più spesso durante l’anno, quindi la scelta è caduta su di loro.

Cominciamo subito:
5. Delush polish in teal death do apart: è uno smalto di una
marca indie che ho scoperto l’anno scorso, e questo colore mi piace perché è
unico, è un celeste pastello molto chiaro con all’interno dei glitter di
diverse dimensioni e colori! Servono due passate per ottenere una buona
copertura, ma non è uno di quegli smalti che vi fanno penare per prelevare i
glitter dalla bottiglia, e questo è un altro motivo per cui mi piace. Non è un
colore che si vede spesso, non è eccessivo nonostante ci siano molti glitter
all’interno!
4. sephora formula x: l’ho voluto inserire in classifica
perchè nel 2014 ho provato gli smalti formula x per la prima volta, e devo dire
che mi piace sia la gamma di colori che di finiture, ed anche la loro
consistenza. Finora ne ho acquistato solo uno e posso parlare solo di quello,
che è un colore azzurro dalla finitura metallica che mi ricorda il colore del
mare! Io amo il blu in tutte le sue sfumature, e secondo me questa è
fantastica, sta bene in estate con l’abbronzatura ma a me piace anche sulla
carnagione chiara, ha una buona durata, non si sbecca facilmente e
l’applicazione è semplice per essere uno smalto metallico: non lascia
striature, non ha una consistenza troppo liquida anche se non è denso come gli
smalti cremosi, ma questa è proprio una caratteristica di questo tipo di
finitura.
3. Kiko sun show nail lacquers : sono usciti con la
collezione Life in Rio la scorsa estate, e sono fenomenali!possiedo circa 400
smalti e una dei problemi che riscontro sta nella difficoltà di trovare colori
nuovi , mai visti prima,ma devo dire che Kiko è riuscita a stupirmi con gli
smalti sun show! Sono unici, li descriverei come smalti cangianti ricchissimi
di iridescenze e di finissimi microglitter , ma credo che per rendersi conto di
quanto complesse siano le tonalità sia necessario vederli di persona! Quando la
luce li colpisce le iridescenze prendono vita , e gli smalti danno il loro
meglio; si stendono facilmente , sono piuttosto liquidi e quindi abbastanza
trasparenti, servono due o tre passate per ottenere una buona copertura, ma nel
complesso sono degli smalti assolutamente validi!
2. kiko nail polish nr 530: è uno smalto che fa parte dei
nuovi 60 colori messi sul mercato da Kiko nel 2014, ed è uno dei miei
preferiti! Molto pigmentato, si ottiene una buona copertura già dopo la prima
passata, molto luminoso e ricco di glitters, il colore è vibrante e potrei
indossarlo tutti i giorni! Esattamente come gli altri smalti Kiko ha una durata
di 4-5 giorni sulle mie unghie, non si sbecca, e credo non si possa chiedere di
più a uno smalto che costa 2.90 € !

comprati tutti, adoro i glitters e i riflessi luminosi, e quando sono usciti me
ne sono subito innamorata! Anche nel loro caso ripeto quello che ho detto per
lo smalto nr 530: non credo si possa chiedere di più a degli smalti che costano
4.90 €, non sono i soliti smalti con i glitter, sono particolari e molto
carini, ce n’è uno con all’interno glitter a forma di cuore, un altro ha
glitter a forma di stelle insieme ad altri di forme diverse su una base azzurra,
e questi sono i due che preferisco, ma anche gli altri mi piacciono e, se anche
voi come me amate i glitters, dovete assolutamente provarli! Non serve girare
il pennello nella bottiglia per catturarli, la stesura è abbastanza omogenea ed
agevole, per me sono i numeri uno del 2014 e meritano il podio senza alcun
dubbio!
