1956 Cadillac Eldorado Seville
This 1956 Cadillac Eldorado Seville is one of a reported 3,900 examples produced for the model year and is finished in white over red leather. It is powered by a 365ci V8 linked with a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, and equipment includes power-assisted drum brakes, gold-finished 15″ Sabre wheels, power steering, power brakes, power windows, an AM radio, and a white vinyl roof. The car is said to have been stored and displayed in a museum from the early 1980s until it was purchased by the seller in 2024, and service in preparation for the sale has included an oil change and replacement of the spark plugs and fuel filter. This Eldorado Seville hardtop is now offered at no reserve with a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in white with a white vinyl roof and features a hood ornament, stylized tail fins, and dual exhaust outlets exiting through the rear bumper corners. The seller states that rust was repaired around the rear wheel arches under prior ownership, and paint cracks are pictured in the gallery along with pitting and flaking chrome.
Gold-finished 15″ Sabre wheels are mounted with H-78-15 Remington bias ply whitewall tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is provided by power-assisted drums at each corner.
The cabin houses bench seats upholstered in red leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include an AM radio, a remote-control trunk lid lock, an Autronic-Eye headlight dimmer, and power windows.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph sweep speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 87k miles, approximately 60 of which were added under current ownership.
The 365ci V8 is equipped with dual four-barrel carburetors beneath a ‘batwing’ air cleaner. The seller notes the oil was changed, the fuel tank was cleaned, and the fuel filter and spark plugs were replaced in preparation for the sale.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission.
