How do I know?

Image
Triumphant Victorious Reminders Inspired by Holy Spirit Written by: Teresa Criswell How do I know if I'm walking in my ways or GOD's? Here's how I know when I'm walking in self, humanistic, prideful, egotistical, fleshly ways...are you ready?  It's pretty ugly...here we go: - I get hurt easily by people; - constantly wanting to control others so I'm not hurt; - it's about me, myself and I (The trinity of humanism); - trying to get others to side with me; - being disappointed by others; - when I allow others to hurt me, I see all THEIR faults and how THEY need to improve; it makes me feel better when I can say I made the wrong decision because I was protecting so and so; - I allow disloyalty from someone else to cause me to be disloyal to GOD; - planting seeds of discord into others by saying, "Did you notice what they did, or was it just me?"; - I forget about how much He has forgiven me and in that I end up not extending HIS fo...

Praise You? Right now?

Image
Triumphant Victorious Reminder Inspired by Holy Spirit Written by: Teresa Criswell It was that moment where panic tried to stir when SUDDENLY I heard in my spirit, "Praise Me now..." - and so I began praising God right there (Here I was at a stoplight on my way home in my vehicle that I call my JESUS car as it was a gift from HIM through some very special people in my life)! Let me not forget to point out that the whole week the engine light had come on and I ignored it and not only did I ignore it but I also didn't tell my husband on purpose (We'll go there later). So fast forward to the moment as the light turned green, I stepped on the gas pedal and my car would not go more than about 10 miles an hour when I noticed my car was revving. As I looked down at the dashboard I noticed my RPM's were going over 7,000 while simultaneously I noticed cars were fast approaching behind me as they didn't realize I was almost at a stop. At first my "k...

But how?

Image
Triumphant Victorious Reminders Inspired by the Holy Spirit Written by: Teresa Criswell Photo courtesy of Google Images Have you ever been moved to tears? To Laughter? To anger? Have you ever been moved to frustration and then allowed frustration to cause you to vent?  Where does venting usually lead to?  For me it's a seeming myriad of thick, resistant webs...the more I "try" in my own strength; my own will power to not be "moved", it seems the more frustrated and angry I become. In this subtle drifting of being moved - whether the manifestation of leaning into God's Holy Wind by His Holy Spirit or being moved by self, an ungrateful heart that allows circumstances to cause me to see even more of what I don't have leads me to look up the definition of the word moved in the Webster's 1828 Online Dictionary: moved : stirred; excited;  stirred: agitated;  agitated: tossed from side to side; shaken; moved violently; disturbed As I r...

Looking back on my blog entry from December 31, 2009

Triumphant Victorious Reminders Inspired by the Holy Spirit Written by: Teresa Stevens Criswell Repost from December 31, 2009 entry... "And when they had struck them with many blows, they threw them into prison charging the jailer to keep them safely. He, having receiving so strict a charge, put them into the inner prison (the dungeon) and fastened their feet in the stocks. But about midnight, as Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the [other] prisoners were listening to them, suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the very foundations of the prison were shaken; and at once all the doors were opened and everyone's shackles were unfastened."... ~ Acts 16 (Excerpt from Acts 16:23-26) ~ A fellow blogger wrote on his post, "...I sat, rather laid, much of today just in this coffin of depression, self-worthlessness, and soaking up the cloudy skies even though the sun was quite brilliant today." Descriptive feel...

Paradigm Shift

Image
Triumphant Victorious Reminders Inspired by the Holy Spirit Written by: Teresa Stevens Criswell How often have I prayed for Love, Joy, Patience, etc...? Investigators, counselors, leaders in many industries are taught not to just ask questions, but to ask the "right" ones. The same goes with prayer...am I praying to get answers? Or am I praying to draw closer to The One Who is The Answer? In this awareness I begin to pray differently - prayer becomes communion versus a list of requests and "Get out of jail" pleas. So here's an example...I became aware of Galatians 5:22-23 in my constant need of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,    gentleness, and self-control... especially this past weekend. A situation, actually a few situations of life this weekend caused stuff inside of me to come out that God so gently highlighted in hind sight. His gentleness surrounded me as He took me back to the scenes of different real ...

The Key to entering God's gates!

Image
Triumphant Victorious Reminders Inspired by the Holy Spirit Written by: Teresa Criswell "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise.  Give thanks to him and bless his name.  For the Lord is good.  His unfailing love continues forever, and His faithfulness continues to each generation." ~ Psalm 100:4-5 ~ Image from Google.com Are you being seduced? You know that moment where you are no longer focused on the abundant goodness of God, instead now focused on the fierce lack of this life (Consisting of difficulties in circumstances, people, trials, hardships)?  Do you want to kick some major a@% in this area of discontentment, complaining and seeing with mere human sight of your facts and reality resulting in only seeing obstacles?  Do you want to begin living in the place of God's abundant, supernatural vision of Truth revealing faith seeing opportunities in the midst of the obstacles? Here's an exercise for the remedy.....

April 4, 2011, "Declarations of Awe"

Triumphant Victorious Reminders Inspired by the Holy Spirit Written by: Teresa Criswell "Then Hannah prayed and said: My heart rejoices in the Lord; in the Lord my horn is lifted high. My mouth boasts over my enemies, for I delight in your deliverance. There is no one holy like the LORD; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God..." ~ I Samuel 2:1-2 ~ Father God, in the Name of Jesus You are highly exalted. Without Your Holy Spirit I cannot declare the applauding unctions that desire to flow from my belly like a rushing river that has been held back by the 'dam' of my humanity. My desperate declaration is the same as Hannah's: There is no one like YOU...no one besides YOU! No one! No one! No one! I praise You Father for You are beyond Glorious, the heavens dare not contain Your glory! I laugh in awe as I have attempted with great failure to contain You for my mind cannot fathom such a Mighty God! Creation declares Your glory. Creation brags abou...

March 17, 2011, "Praise, Encourage and Edify our Glorious God and King"

Triumphant Victorious Reminders Inspired by the Holy Spirit Written By: Teresa Criswell "And my tongue shall speak of Your righteousness and of Your praise all the day long." ~ Psalm 35:28 ~ Circumstances began to build itself up. My eyes allowed my soul to be overtaken with fear as they seemed to become larger and larger. Before I knew it, my mind was exalting the circumstances like a massive, giant tidal wave only growing stronger as it came closer to land. Then, SUDDENLY! Yes! Suddenly! I could hear through the wind of howling circumstances the still small voice whispering with authority, "Praise your God! Encourage and edify Me, NOW! I long to hear the praises of My people!" O! As soon as I heard this, my heart led my body into this indignant triumphal cheer! The praises that came forth declared, "God You are the Mountain Remover! You are Strength over all strength! You are Comforter and Joy to those who weep in mourning! God! You are The Great I Am....

May 23, 2010, "Gates and Courts"

"Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name! For the Lord is good; His mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting, His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations." ~ Psalm 100:4-5 Amplified~ There are times I love to pray the scripture from Psalm 100, but then I forget which one comes first...courts or gates....haahaa! Then today, I got this great visual as I went to the Word and prayed this out. I believe the Lord gave me this analogy, "Teresa, before you can enter someone's gated property, you must first go through the open gates. As you proceed through the entrance of the gates, you are grateful that they let you in. As you enter in with gratefulness, you are able to enter into their courts. "Father God, In the Name of Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit, I am thankful You have allowed me into your beautiful gates. Lord, as ...

March 4, 2010, "Remaining Refuge"

Triumphant Victorious Reminders Inspired by the Holy Spirit Written By: Teresa Criswell "You will live in joy and peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song, and the trees of the field will clap their hands!" ~ Isaiah 55:12 NLT ~ Lord, You are my Refuge and Strength! You are Salvation! You are Power! You are Love! Lord, with or without us You Remain Awesome, Powerful, Loving, Merciful. You are Resting Place. You are Restoration! You Are Relief when relief doesn't seem near. You are who You say You are! God, I want to run after You. The way I run after the earthly desires, I want to run after You beyond my wildest imagination. I want my running after You to be as the rushing wind that dries up the rain and dew that has fallen on the ground. I want my running after You to be as though the wordly things have no hold or concern. Thank You Jesus for Your resurrection Power over death, hell and the grave! Thank You for the Redeeming Power of God's Love tha...
