"I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of  God's power for us who believe in Him..." Excerpt from Ephesians 1:19-23 Today's Triumphant Victorious Reminder points to Deuteronomy 6.  I find it amazing how often we forget the greatness of God. Yet no wonder, as recorded in Deuteronomy 6, we seem to witness a divine hyperbole, a holy adamancy: "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on your doorframes of your houses and gates... be careful you do not forget the Lord, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery." - Deuteronomy 6:4-9; 12 (I ...

February 8, 2004 | Chosen By The One Who Calls Us To Himself

And later Isaiah spoke boldly for God, saying,  "I was found by people who were not looking for Me.  I showed Myself to those who were not asking for Me." - Romans 10:20 While on the phone with my daughter; she ended the call with an intriguing question. I laugh to myself as she ended the conversation on a cliffhanger note to say the least. She said, " Mom, before we end this call, I have an interesting question to ask you. Don't answer now. Go to the Lord and ask Him."   Curiosity perked as I eagerly said, "Okay." She then replied, "How do you know you have been chosen by God?" It was like I got hit up the side the head, while getting kissed on the cheek at the same time. I said, "Ummm. Uh...Wow! What a great question to go to the Lord about." She then said, "Okay. I love you mom. I'll talk to you later." Immediately after our call ended...Tristin's question was definitely of the Holy Spirit. He was wooing me to ...

December 25, 2022 | The Invitation to Seek

Image
InterVINED Art Doodle  (Part of Triumphant Victorious Reminders) "Those who look to Him are radiant with joy;  their faces are never covered in shame." - Psalm 34:5 - It's amazing how God truly invites us to seek Him in the midst of the good, bad and the uncertainties of life.  Something I have come to learn is how the most reliable people in our lives, if we are not careful, we cling to them more than God. Or perhaps in the greatest of times, some don't see why God is needed in their moments. Then there are the moments in life where we ask God where He is when we have felt forsaken.  There are so many scenarios.  And yet God is right there.  Those incredible moments of life, where things seem so wonderful, even those moments have now become my alerts or  notifiers to remember how I must cling to The Lord even more. The importance of  clinging to Him and His grace for the purpose of properly carrying those beautiful moments with Jesus as He is o...

September 14, 2022 | To Truly Lend

Image
After reading Proverbs 19:17, a thought cameโ€ฆ "How did we get the lending of the world and the lending of God so twisted up?โ€ God's kind of lending has no selfish agendas. He helps those who have fallen and gets them to rise again. He doesn't help while saying, "You owe me." The lending of the world is of course necessary; but not when helping others who are down. The lending of the world says, โ€œI know youโ€™re down; but you still owe me (with interest).โ€ As believers in Christ, what an incredible gift we can give. The gift of giving to others without expecting anything in return from them; truly fixing our giving on God while others benefit. In whatever way we are able to give; it's an honor to do so from Godโ€™s magnificent love. Giving from God's love allows us to continually sow seeds of blessings to others whether we deem a person is deserving or undeserving. The greatest investment we can make besides following after Jesus, is investing in people! Follo...

Triumphant Victorious Reminders  Instagram @TriumphantVictorious_Reminders "I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance. I know you don't tolerate evil people...You have patiently suffered for me without quitting. But I have this one complaint against you. You don't love Me or each other as you did at first! Look how far you have fallen. Turn back to Me and do the works you did at first..."  - Revelation 2:2-4 (NLT) Doing all the good things... Praying for people. Seeking opportunities to be hospitable. Writing books testifying of the greatness of God. Posting encouraging social media content.  Gathering with other Christ-like minded women. Yet all the while, truly forgetting the WHY .  So often I would do, do, do because that's what you do as a Christian. This is how you're recognized as one of His own. Yet God in His mercy and patience, woos us to Himself to respond to His goodness first so we can truly do from a p...

Looking for a way in...

Image
Triumphant Victorious Reminders www.LetsTalkStudio.com As Paul greeted in every letter, so I echo, "God's grace and peace be unto you in Jesus name". His supernatural power to empower us to rise above shame and sin along with making our crooked paths straight. That alone amazes me.  As my husband reminded me this morning, just think, GOD is always looking for a way in - never a way out. His love wants to bleed into our relationships with family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, etc. to cause us to fight FOR one another in prayers of His Word and covering.  As we look for a way IN to keep our relationships; some may have co-parts that don't and are looking for a way OUT. It is now my prayer for those to begin to look not for a way out; but press INTO HIM! It takes brave ones to look for a way in.  Jesus is our greatest example.  How do we not quit?  How do we not allow weariness to make us want to give up?  We focus on...

Questions/Ponderings...

Image
Triumphant Victorious Reminders www.LetsTalkStudio.com If you told me who you were, would you be able to do so without describing what you do? Think about that question. Who are you really? What is it about "you" that causes the earth to be wow'ed by your place in this world? What is it about "you" that causes the earth to be wow'ed In this time? Let me help you with those questions...this is who you really are...you are a child of the Most High God. He doesn't want to just be known as "Master" - HE now wants you to know HIM as "Father"/"Husband" (Hosea 2:14-15). How about God? Would you be able to describe WHO HE is, for WHO HE IS? Or would our assessment and description of GOD be a list made up of what HE has done or how HE has "performed"? Yikes. Just asking that to myself causes me to be quickened to our GOD, as there is no one like HIM...NO ONE! Do you know that HE knows you? Do you know th...

Lesson of Repentance

Image
Triumphant Victorious Reminders Inspired by the Holy Spirit Written by: Teresa Criswell (Repost: Written January 18, 2012) "Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?" ~ Romans 2:4 ~ Slipping back into time, it was 1988; my eighth grade year. My parents experienced grueling frustration as they were continuously receiving reports from my teachers of me carrying on in class, not taking my classes seriously and consistently getting into trouble for being one of the 'class clowns'. In hind sight, as a parent myself, the acting out wasn't their greatest frustration; it was my overall attitude of not caring, which to say the least, my grades mercilessly reflected. Meanwhile, during this time, I still remember my wonderful dad. I shake my head in awe as my dad continuously believed in me. He would even say in the darkest times of my life, "Teresa, God has a...

Did you know?

Image
Triumphant Victorious Reminders Inspired by the Holy Spirit Written by: Teresa Criswell So much has happened over the last 13 years of my life since I FINALLY said, "Yes to Jesus!" All those moments being drawn to go deeper into the roots of GOD and HIS righteousness and wanting to know this GOD who in HIS love and redemption extended HIS mighty hand and said, "Let's do this...you may not believe in ME, like you want, and you may not believe in yourself, but I believe in you for I see what's about to bloom and the fragrance of MYSELF you will leave behind..." That alone is a "doubt destroying" thought into a "faith exposing" life in wanting GOD more and more as HE beckons us to draw closer to WHO HE IS. Did you know there was a time I was so far away that I truly thought life didn't matter? Did you know that the very words you read were never even a thought in those moments of waywardness? Did you know I was so deceive...

"Dare To Be Blessed" Campaign

Image
Triumphant Victorious Reminders Inspired by Holy Spirit Written by: Teresa Criswell Seething anger, detailed thoughts of how to get revenge and the thoughts of "How dare they?" Has this ever happened to you?  Perhaps you are going through this right now and even rightfully so. Maybe you've even had the worst of the worst take place in your life and you can't see straight.  Hurt, grief, and the pain of betrayal has you in a choke hold.  You don't even want to get out of bed. This life is not at all what you had hoped for. Your hopes, dreams have all seemingly come crashing down and the "If only" begins to plague your thoughts, mutilate your demeanor and curse your very actions. Then suddenly a "dare to be blessed" opportunity comes your way.  It's a dare that changed my life back in 2005.  A friend showed me the scripture and I lashed out at her with expletives and all she did was laugh and say, "One day Teresa, you will see...

Breakthrough Not Brokenness

Image
Triumphant Victorious Reminders Inspired by the Holy Spirit Written by: Teresa Criswell Have you ever prayed to God about someone or something and it seemed things only got worse? This is when I realized this is the beginning of a breakthrough not broken dreams. The very thing meant to break them - to break you, is actually a sign of impending breakthrough. For instance, have you ever bumped something really hard and the pain was intense, yet the first day there was only redness in the effected area?  Yet a few days later that area turned yellow, black and blue...it looked far worse than the first day of impact.  What looks discouraging and really bad is truly the body miraculously attempting to heal that area.  From the outside it looks really bad, yet from the inside there's healing taking place. This Triumphant Victorious Reminder is to remind us to not grow weary as we must now allow the outward move us out of our place in speaking life over those that ...

Testimony...

Image
Triumphant Victorious Reminders Inspired by the Holy Spirit Written by: Teresa Criswell As the Holy Spirit flowed, I was learning even more as a mouthpiece of His message of faith through last night's  Girlfriends 2016 Women Conference in Belton.  One of the many reminders while speaking and sharing my testimony of waywardness to redemption, was in regards to how my incredible parents prayed prayers of faith for over a decade over me, even in the times when they didn't know if I was dead or alive. The reminder that came forth was when we pray by faith, it doesn't mean we don't recognize the "facts". Think about it, my parents knew the painful, hard hitting facts. They wept and were distraught especially when they heard what people were saying about my lifestyle - but PRAISE GOD, my parents even in those moments did not allow those "facts" to replace God's TRUTH in changing how they prayed. They continued God's declarations of fait...

Image
Triumphant Victorious Reminders Inspired by the Holy Spirit Written by: Teresa Criswell Persistence. Perseverance. Tenacity. Never give up. It was in 1976, on a Tuesday evening yet another knock on the door. It was like clock work. Every Tuesday night for a couple weeks, Ray and his counterpart were on their Tuesday evening "visitation" route as a particular couple's home was part of their route every week for the last few weeks. Of course, on the other end, the couple knew who it was as they had a routine drill of their own. Whenever the couple heard the knock on the door, they would slowly get on the ground, crawl on all fours to make the outsiders think no one was home.  The only problem? Ray knew they were home because one, their car was in the driveway and two, he could hear the floors creaking as they tried to quietly move away from the front room.  If I remember the story correctly, Ray would knock on the door, hear the creaking sounds and then say some...
