갭 접합 알파-10 단백질은 코넥신-62(Cx62)라고도 하며, 인간에서 GJA10 유전자에 의해 인코딩되는 단백질이다.[5]
GJA10과 같은 코넥신은 세포와 접촉하는 세포질들을 직접 연결하는 세포간 도관인 틈 접합부의 형성에 관여한다.각 갭 접속 채널은 2개의 헤미차넬을 도킹하여 형성되며, 각 채널에는 6개의 커넥팅신 서브유닛이 포함되어 있다.[5][6]
