Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to use a single pump as both of a roller type and a vane type pumps, by designing a wear plate and a rotor to be replaceable, and using them selectively to meet a required purpose.
CONSTITUTION: Two wear plates 3, 4 formed with ports 1, 2 for passing fluid therethrough at different positions of the plates and two rotors 7, 9 respectively having rollers 6 and vanes 8 are prepared so that they can be fitted in a casing 5 in a replaceable manner. In case that the fluid to be handled is liquid, a wear plate 3 and a rotor 7 are used. On the other hand, in case that the fluid to be handled is a semifluid material, a wear plate 4 and a rotor 9 are used in placed of the wear plate 3 and the rotor 7. With such an arrangement, the substance introduced into the pump from an inlet port 10 enters into a rotor chamber through ports 1 or 2 of wear plate 3 or 4 and is discharged to the outside from an outlet port 16 by the turning rotor 7 or 9. Thus, it is enabled to use a single pump as both of a roller type and a vane type pumps.
