This page is for requesting CheckUser information on a wiki with no local CheckUsers (see also requesting checkuser access). Make sure to follow the following instructions, or your request may not be processed in a timely manner.

Before making a request:

  1. Make sure you have a good reason for the check. It will only be accepted to counter vandalism or disruption to Wikimedia wikis. Valid reasons include needing a block of the underlying IP or IP range, disruptive sockpuppetry, vote-stacking, and similar disruption where the technical evidence from running a check would prevent or reduce further disruption.
  2. Be specific in your reasons. Ambiguous or insufficient reasons will cause delays. Explain the disruption and why you believe the accounts are related, ideally using diff links or other evidence.
  3. Make sure there are no local checkusers.
  4. Please ensure that the check hasn't already been done:

How to make a request:

  • Place your request at the bottom of the section, using the template below (see also {{srcu}} help).
    === Username@xx.project ===
    {{CU request
     |status          = <!--don't change this line-->

@Sotiale: Any update on this? --Rschen7754 02:28, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Recently, there have been many users who have contacted me for updates. This request is still under review; Upon completion of the review, the decision will be made immediately. --Sotiale (talk) 12:03, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It is of course interesting to read https://hr.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Razgovor_sa_suradnikom%3AKubura&type=revision&diff=5653155&oldid=5652113 Tgeorgescu (talk) 20:08, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Based on the data that Vodomar published, which I have seen before they were hidden, I made my own analysis of the results. IMHO, it proves beyond reasonable doubt that these are indeed sockpuppets. You can find my analysis here: User:Lasta/CU38 (permalink). Please make an additinal check regarding day/night IP ranges and publish the results. --Lasta (talk) 15:04, 30 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Let me just add the following: the identity of the user behind these accounts should be absolutely certain based on the evidence made available to the stewards some time ago. While in my opinion the evidence is incontrovertible, its interpretation is not necessarily straightforward; if there are doubts about this, may the CU please contact me by email. I myself am straightforward user and contributor on hr.wiki. (see my history) - nevertheless I must confirm above accusations against user Kubura. Sadly but trustworthy. See recent changes and accusations on hr.wiki - for translation, if needed I am more than glad to assist. Kind regards --Mark7747 (talk) 16:32, 30 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I updated User:Lasta/CU38 with first part of the story - about what made me suspect those 37 users in the first place. Please read the whole story, make additional checks and finally decide do you find these arguments convincing or not. --Lasta (talk) 10:37, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Just to be clear, it cannot be confirmed that these users are indeed socks. What I can say, however, is that there is concrete technical evidence supporting the suspicion of either sockpuppetry or meatpuppetry. This is because of a series of coincidences that are very hard to believe. If you were to ask me what are the odds that these users are linked to Kubura strictly from a technical point of view, I would answer as it follows:

  • Likely Likely: Anfiets, Arraque, Cvicang, Dvastaorla, Fleezer, Hergel, ImeldoMax, Kartervaen, Kumordinar Žorž, Neadin, Radion, Rikovers, Šedrvan, Stijenor NGC, Tobaccobox, Tomec, Uršul, Verud, Zerukruhaivina
  • Possible Possible: Demet, Gjiuh, Gretim, Jarebika, Leteći oleandar, Malatrad, Orašnik, TekstViler, Vinko Ml.
  • Unlikely Unlikely: XaneZeggi
  • Unrelated Unrelated: Umuthi GayndeGi
  • Stale: Donher, Hari Tre, Kutni Rez, MairMoon, Pantagana, SkelaLeop, Soljenko

It should be noted that the distinction between possible and probable is based on more than just the underlying IP addresses, and is meant to reflect, to some extent, a lack of meaningful data. Given that the deceptive use of such a large number of accounts may well undermine the usual community processes, it is my recommendation that especially all the above users who are likely to have a connection with Kubura be treated accordingly.--Sakretsu (炸裂) 13:34, 7 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sakretsu: Short & straight: Thanks! On behalf of hr.wiki community. Best --Mark7747 (talk) 20:21, 7 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Sakretsu. Let me just note two more things. There was also a check reportedly done in mid-May, so cross-checking the results might be of benefit, if it wasn't done already. Second, the accounts in question took part in the 2020 steward election as well as in the Croatian Wikipedia RfC, so this may qualify now as cross-wiki sockpuppeting, with potentially more severe repercussions.
