Eric Clapton is an English Rock and Blues Guitarist, Singer and Songwriter.  He was a member of the world famous Rock Groups such as:  The Yardbirds, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Cream, Blind Faith, Delaney & Bonnie & Friends, Derek & The Dominos and Plastic Ono Band, he also succeeded in his solo career since 1970.  He is the only three-time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame:  as a Solo Artist, as a member of The Yardbirds and Cream.  He has been referred to as one of the most important and influential Guitarist of All Time and in ranked second in Rolling Stone Magazine's list of the 100 Greatest Guitarist of All Time, fourth in Gibson's Top 50 Guitarist of All Time.  He was also named No. 5 in Time Magazine's list of "The 10 Best Electric Guitar Players" in 2009.  He has been the recipient of 19 Grammy Awards, and the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.  In 2004, he was awarded a CBE at Buckingham Palace for services to music.  Eric Clapton also known as "Slowhand".
