I Want to Write a Story

 

We are doing Back to School or Starting School storytimes and I wanted a new rhyme inspired by my Five Happy Pencils Ready to Write felt set from a few years ago. The new set has different colors and have emotions that go with the new rhyme I wrote.  Colored Pencils Help me Write a Story   You can't tell but this set is Big! Each pencil is about 10 inches from top to tip. I deconstructed a Google image to make my pencils and used glitter glue and shiny fabric paint and google eyes for the details. 
I can always just tweak my first rhyme to use the color words or the emotion words to use them in a slightly different theme.  We're having a lot of Fun with Friends at Storytime!

Wheels on the Bus several ways.

I recently made a set of 10 colorful buses for a fun activity/song for The Wheels on the Bus.  My grandson loves to watch videos of this song and we saw a really cute one that I wanted to make for Storytime.  So I found a Google image that I deconstructed for my pattern.  I first made a bus with the little children riding in it. I have a diecut for the paint splashes and children. Then I made 10 colorful buses that can be counted or used with the kiddos.  This can be a match the wheels to the color bus or match the wheels to the color splash or count the color buses activity.  I'm super happy with how it turned out. 


Singing and playing the Wheels on the Bus at Storytime is so much Fun with Friends at Storytime!

Ready for Writing!


Time for a new-for-me theme for storytime! I made a set of Five Little Pencils. Here's a link for the rhyme that I made up to go along with my pencils - Five Little Pencils.  I used a Google image as my pattern and added some fabric paint and glitter glue and googly eyes. The 'paper' is white felt with blue acrylic paint lines. I used masking tape to keep my lines straight and as narrow as possible. This set makes me smile!  We're having so much Fun with Friends at Storytime!
