Uncle Tom's

After being disappointed with the Dinagayng result (I was rooting for either Bola-bola or Ilonganon to win), an unexpected late dinner treat came that lifted our spirits. When I knew we were going to Uncle Tom's it was getting better and better, for it is still on my list of restos to be visited but never had the chance to be there. It was almost 10pm when we got there and the place was still fully occupied. Good thing they let us in in their air-conditioned conference area. Inday Hami of Iloveiloilo tipped me one time about Uncle Tom's.She said they had good fried chicken but poor steak. So it was chicken for me just like the rest of the gang. Looks like everybody knows this fact.And their fried chicken was really good. Served hot and crisp with minimal breading and tons of gravy, it one of best fried chicken I've tasted. It’s worth the price though more expensive than most at Php92 for single chicken and around PhP135 for double combo meals, but it is really worth it.And ...

Bluejay Coffee and Delicatessen

Double berry delight frappe A trip to Bluejay was a fitting nightcap last Friday night after watching an hour of fireworks display.This one presented itself unexpectedly for I was planning of having an entry when their Amigo branch opens since both current branches are almost out of my way. Tiramisu Eclair frappe B luejay is a coffee shop, delicatessen and restaurant rolled into one so it has a varied clientele at different times of the day. Though they had cakes, desserts and sandwiches that time we just settled for cold drinks to quench our thirst after those fun hours of watching the fireworks and chatting under the star-lit sky beside the Iloilo River.
