Betway Casino has been in operation for a number of years but only really came to our attention after a number of other Microgaming casinos closed their doors to players from the United Kingdom in 2014, and encouraged them to transfer over to Betway. The site is owned and operated by Betway Ltd, and is regulated by the Malta Lotteries and Gaming Commission, and the UK Gambling Commission for those of you in the United Kingdom.
First things first let's get this rant out of the way: Betway's website is terrible. I typed in the address and was presented with a full page image of Real Madrid lifting last year's Champions League trophy, with a login box above and some giant text imploring me to sign up and get a bonus. I had to scroll down to find a link to the casino, of which there are two: one labeled "Casino" and the other "Vegas" with very little other information about either. Clicking either goes to another similar looking landing page with a big image and very little information. I couldn't even tell specifically what games they had, apart from the six (yes 6!) listed on the Vegas page. Pretty much every link clicked on any of these landing pages pops up a sign up form so there is no way to get any other useful information. The designers have obviously jumped on the latest design trend bandwagon and targeted mobile device users exclusively, with massive fonts and buttons, very low information density, and abysmal usability for anyone who is on a PC monitor. Balancing the needs of both sets of users is hard, no doubt, but in many cases like this one we've come from the days when sites that looked great on a PC were hard to use on a mobile device, and now we're seeing the complete opposite. If I had not been reviewing the casino I would have given up there and then and never gone back but for you, dear reader, I signed up and pressed onwards.
When I did manage to sign up and get past the landing page trap, I found that the casino website isn't too bad after all. It still has the over-sized text and buttons, and everything is arranged in blocky grid formation with loads of space, just like every other mobile-focussed site out there, but it does the job and features a handy search function to find the game you really want. The casino utilises Microgaming’s Quickfire platform to allow you to play all of the games right through your internet browser, no software installation required. I still cannot work out why they have separate "Casino" and "Vegas" sections though. We commonly see casinos do this due to licensing conditions, or separation of games from different developers, but not in Betway's case. The "Vegas" section has the same selection of games that are all available in the "Casino" section, it's just that the tabs categorising them are in a different order. It is confusing and unnecessary.
As you would expect from a Quickfire powered casino, slots are prominently featured at Betway, with hundreds of games that feature everything from fruit themes to complex blockbuster films and everything in between. If you want to instantly become wealthy, Betway Casino offers a set of Microgaming progressive jackpots for you to play. These jackpots are spread out between slots, blackjack, and video poker, and are pooled with many other casinos that also run Microgaming software. They feature prizes that begin at a few thousand Pounds and escalate all the way up to the multi-million Pound range.
Table games and video poker are also featured at Betway, with a large emphasis being placed on roulette and the blackjack tables. Those of you who prefer live dealer action can choose from live Baccarat, Roulette and Blackjack. If you have the bankroll to meet the high minimums on the tables, you can even play at tables with Playboy dealers. I spent more than a little time checking the video stream quality of those tables thoroughly!
If you are the type of punter who likes to play on the go, Betway Casino does offer a large amount of mobile games, which are available for both Apple and Android devices. I found the mobile games to be surprisingly deep, with many features found on the desktop versions of these games. As you can tell from my rant above, the site is actually far better when accessed from a mobile device, albeit with a reduced subset of the games available. I definitely enjoyed my time with the mobile platform at Betway, and hope that the library size continues to grow in the future.
The banking system at Betway offers ample options to deposit and withdraw funds from the casino. While the casino does let you conduct these transactions via credit card, bank wire, and various e-Wallets, it is a big disappointment to see that the casino enforces a £4,000 per week withdrawal limit for players that win more than 5x the amount they have deposited at the casino in total. Rules like this are frankly stupid. The casino is saying that they are capable and prepared to pay a massive win to a player that has lost a lot in the past at the casino, but not someone who has won enough to put themselves well ahead, even if they both had their win on the same day. Why the difference? Thankfully this rule explicitly excludes progressive jackpot wins, but another black mark against this casino is the fact that they limit wins made after claiming the first deposit bonus to 6x your initial deposit.
In terms of withdrawal speed, every one you make is held for 48 hours in a reversible state before being paid out. I was asked to provide identification documents on my first withdrawal and these took a little over a day to approve before my cashout was processed. The total time taken was approximately five days, and I would expect subsequent withdrawals to be back in an e-wallet account within 3-4 days, which is slow for a Microgaming casino.
Customer Support is quite good at Betway, as I tested out the instant message function. Staff are available 24/7 and I found that the they were quick to respond to a help request and they were able to answer various questions regarding the match bonus that they offer for new punters.
While you play at Betway, your connection is secured using SSL technology which ensures that your financial information and gameplay is kept private. The casino is also certified by eCOGRA, which means that the casino regularly submits its payouts to an independent audit and publishes the results for anyone to see. While eCOGRA certification isn’t foolproof, it is a very good sign that a casino operator is above board and secure for real money play. It does not, however, publish the theoretical RTP numbers for any of its games.
Betway's responsible gambling protocol offers players the option of setting daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits. It also allows players to request a temporary cooling-off and/or a permanent exclusion period during which time they cannot log in to the casino. However there is no option for a player to set this up for themselves in their account settings - instead they must contact customer support and make a request.
Lastly, it would be remiss of me not to note that a quick Google search will turn up legions of complaints from players around the world about Betway. The vast majority seem to be related to bonus-related misunderstandings such as players being stung by small automatic "free bets" that come with wagering requirements. However there are a few concerning ones where Betway has invoked the online casino's old "spirit of the bonus" clause, in order to deny payment to anyone who won and met all the published terms but was still considered a "bonus abuser". For this reason, and the associated 6x cashout limit mentioned above, if you must play at Betway I highly recommend not claiming a bonus.
Betway Casino could be a great online casino, but frankly it isn't. It features a huge amount of games, big jackpots, a varied banking system, and good customer service. However it is let down by a confusing and almost information-free website, several withdrawal limitations, slow withdrawal speed, and a poor reputation amongst players.

My experience at Betway casino was not good. in 2017 I made my first deposit by Neteller at this casino and I claimed the welcome bonus. I played my deposit with the bonus and ended up with a balance of 280 euro. the next day I found that my account was closed and I received 80 euro on my Neteller account. however I did not request a withdrawal, I only made a deposit of 20 euro and my casino balance was 280 euro. the same day I received an email from support informing me that the reason for closing my account as a result of a routine investigation by Casino Operations Department, who confirmed that the region i registered my account from does not match the associated IP address of my account.
I was sure it was a mistake on the part of the casino which forced me to file a complaint against the casino with Ecogra. the casino had no proof, I asked support several times to give me the history of
my connections to the casino with the IP addresses but I never received a response. finally, after a few months I received 200 euro in my Neteller account.
For me it is not a good casino.

Betway casino is not bad, and not good for me. I played in this casino only couple of times, and i did not find any decent reasons to continue my playing in this casino. Betway casino it is typical microgaming casino, but be aware, i read few bad things about this casino from other players, it is probably not very good choice to play in this casino. I will start from pluses, but it is just my experience, you better check everything one more time before playing.
+ Software. Download application and quickfire. I tried only application and everything worked fine for me, i really can not say anything bad about it.
+ Customer support. Not so bad, live chat was available when i am played, and my experience was good. But once again i do not know did casino CS works all the time, and better check it yourself to prevent sad things.
Now about few minuses.
- Withdrawals. Mine took 5 days, KYC took 3 days. Very long time, casino not ask any other my documents, it is just was too long for me, i do not know reasons of this. I have only one payout, probably second could be faster, but i not want to try it.
- Bonuses and support. I not get any good bonuses, i mean i get usual emails from casino,but there was no any good offers for me.

In the first of all, the most "enjoyable" thing on this casino is the amount of emails, which am I finding every week in "Spam" folder of my e-mail box 🙂
So one day I let that hard-working spammers get what they want and I decided to enter and discover this casino. I deposited around the bottom deposit amount limit, that I will be eligible to claim the 100% match deposit bonus, as well as the free spins, which I got in every e-spam.
Anyway, I was going into that with some scepticism, mainly because of their harrassful practices, but the casino page and also the emails I got from them were looking quite nice, better said, the design was "fully-fashioned" so it makes me try it.
The gameplay was something worse - you certainly know these casinos where you deposit, then spin for the first time and right then you find out, that this... is not going to be a nice end. That is what I experienced with this casino, unfortunately.
However, the support cannot blame in anything, they were very nice and helpful-looking 🙂

This casino is powered by microgaming, and i am pretty sure that this is good casino, at least when i play them, that was two years ago, i did not had any problems, made few deposits and two withdrawals, and everything was more than ok. Live support online very rare, at least by my opinion, and email support answer on all queres very fast, i never wait more than 4 hours or so, withdrawals not so fast, around 2-3 days, but this is ok time for me in microgaming casino. Hello! I played at betway probably two years ago, when they had not only microgaming games, but they have few more software creators. I registered there because my good friend ask me to play throw his refferal link, he want to test something there. There was games from nextgen, and i am of course say yes. For my first deposit of 50$ they offer me sweet 100% bonus, and i start my journey in this casino. I make deposit from webmoney. I start playing different games, spend probably couple of hours playing, and i play only nextgen games, and at finish of wagering requirements i request very nice withdrawal of 300$. But here comes problem. They verify my account with no problem, but when i try to withdraw on webmoney, they told that it is does not work right, and they do not know when it will work. So we make a deal, and they pay to moneta.ru , but this take a week. Really not very positive, but i was glad i get my money, and never touch this casino anymore.
