Super Group Purchases Betway's US Brand

This story was published more than 1 year ago.

This week gaming firm Super Group has announced that they've purchased the Betway brand's US rights by purchasing Digital Gaming Corporation for an undisclosed amount.

The finalization of the deal comes a year after Super Group first announced that they had come to terms with Digital Gaming Corporation to buy the operator's US rights. The move will allow Super Group to launch their operations in the United States now, as Betway is active in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, Arizona, Colorado, New Jersey, and Iowa. There are plans for Betway to launch in Louisiana in the next few months as well.

Regarding the deal Super Group CEO Neal Menashe said, "We are excited to officially welcome DGC into Super Group. We look forward to working more closely with the team as we apply our proven toolkit to the US.

"With a healthy balance sheet and a consistent track record of driving profitable growth, Super Group is well positioned to enter the US market, enhancing our global footprint."`

The move is the latest for Super Group, who recently purchased the UK betting business Jumpman Gaming. The company is also in talks to purchase software group Apricot, although no deal has been reached as of press time.
