DESIGN FOR A RANGE OR COOKING-STOVE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,303, dated November 19, 1901.

Application filed October 28, 1901. Serial No. 80,342. Term of patent 14 years.

Be it known that I, HERBERT W. BEATTIE, of Quincy, in the county of Norfolk and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design foraRange or Cooking-Stove, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.

The drawing is a perspective View of a range or stove embodying my design, which relates to the shape, configuration, and ornamentation thereof.

A indicates the base of the stove, rounding slightly at the top and provided at the center with the ornamentation a, on either side of which at the ends are the scroll-and-leaf ornaments a', a portion of which extends downwardly upon the legs B. The end of the base is provided with similar ornaments h. Projecting forwardly from the stove-body C is the hearth D, having the depending rim d. Above the hearth is an ash-pit door E, having damper-openings e, and at the top of t-he body is a feed-door F, provided with similar openingsf. Between these two doors is an ornamental panel G, decorated across its upper portion and at its ends with a scroll ornamentation g.

The'side of the body is provided with the oven-door H, having at its center a panel I, irregular in outline and having the conventional scroll ornamentation fi. The panel .is

surmounted by the spreading ornament t. The sides of the door are provided with the scroll ornaments h, which extend inwardly along the lower edge of the door. h indicates an ornamental handle thereon.

J indicates the repot door, having the plain center and surrounded at the sides and lower edge with scroll-and-leaf figuresj, and below the door is a small panel provided with similar ornaments K.

The reservoir-section is provided with a panel L, having the rounding edges and provided With the conventional scroll-and-leaf ornamentations, as shown, extending from a central figure M, located at one corner of the panel. The reservoir-section is provided at its lower edge with the flange Z.

The top of the body-section is bounded by an outwardly rounding and depending iange N.

O indicates a back-section extending upwardly at the rear of the top of the body portion, having the shell ornament Pat the center, and the ornamental sides Q, from which extend shelves R.

l The ornamentations on the various parts harmonize to produce a pleasing effect.

Having described my invention, what I desire to secure by Letters Patent is- The design for a range or cooking-stove, substantially as shown and described.
