DESIGN FOR A HEATING-STOVE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 36,099, dated October 7, 1902.

Application filed August 6,1902. Serial No.118,635. Term of patent '7 years.

To (all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that we, THOMAS R. KENNEDY and EDWARD J. KING, of Rochester, in the county of Monroe and State of New York, have invented and produced a new, original,

and ornamental Design for HeatingStoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanyingdrawing, forming a part thereof.

The illustration is a perspective view of a l1eating-stove, showing our design.

The leading feature of our design consists of the shape or contour of a stove and the surface ornamentations applied thereto.

The base of the stove (indicated by A) is substantially rectangular in form, having the rounded corners and provided with the curved legs 1, between which the base is providcd with the scroll ornamentation 2. Above the base is arranged the ash-pit section B, composed of the lower portion 1), ornamented with the scroll design 3, and the upper portion 1), provided with the bold scroll ornaments 4. At the forward side of this section is provided the ash-pit door 5, having the damperopenings 6, and at the sides thereof extend ornamental foot-rests 7. At

the upper edge of the ash-pit section is an outwardly-extending band extending along 0 the sides of the section, as indicated by 8,

and across the front thereof, where it is provided with a plain depending edge 9.

C indicates the body of the stove, having the upper and lower fire- pot doors 10 and 11, respectively, provided with the mica panels and bearing the scroll ornaments, as shown. Arranged between the doors is a narrow ornamental zone 12, and at the corners the body is provided with the bold vertically-extending scroll ornamentation 13.

Located above the body C is a top section D, having the prominent rounded corners 1%, bearing the large scroll figures 15. At the sides the top is provided with niches or recesses 16, at the bottom of which are the mica doors 17 on the body C. Surmounting the top section is the cover 18, which is substantially rectangular, having the rounding sides ornamented, as shown.
