Description
ここに vは音速、dは2×L 中に含まれる波長λの数であり、

この構造を複数直列に繋ぐ、即ちカスケード化することにより、消音効果を増大させることができる。
本発明では、バイパス通路がメイン通路の中心軸の回りに螺旋状に走る螺旋通路に形成される。このようにして、該螺旋通路は、管通路に、螺旋通路の分岐点から合流点までの間にメイン通路の長さよりも長い長さで近接して配設されることになり、メイン通路とバイパス通路は非常にコンパクトな構造体に形成される。該螺旋通路は好ましくはメイン通路の周囲に配設される。そうすることにより、メイン通路に並行して走る螺旋通路を少ない曲がりで螺旋通路の分岐点と合流点の間で略真直ぐか或は軽く湾曲した中間通路の長さよりも必要なだけ長くすることができる。特に、複数の螺旋通路を設けるのが好ましく、その場合、これら螺旋通路はそれぞれがそれぞれのネジ勾配で配設されている螺旋通路の間に形成されることになる。
ここに L2はメイン通路方向の長さであり、音速は340 m/s とした。
より計算される長さよりも上記係数分だけ長くしなければならない。幾何学的に同様であっても螺旋通路の数と断面積が管端補正に大きく影響し、したがって音響経路長さに影響するので、それらの値が変わる場合は、補正係数はそれぞれの場合に応じて新たに求めなければならない。メイン通路部分の長さは、前記式で計算される値よりも常に長く設定しなければならない。
Claims (5)
- 内燃機関(1)に気体を導く通路(2)にある区間長さに亘って該通路(2)に並行して導かれ該区間長さよりも長いバイパス通路(5、51、52、53)が前記通路(2)の分岐点(7)と合流点(8)間に設けられた消音装置において、
前記バイパス通路(5)が前記通路(2)の周りに螺旋状に巻かれた複数の螺旋通路(51、52、53)からなり、
該複数の螺旋通路(51、52、53)は該螺旋通路が設けられた前記通路(2)の区間を構成するメイン通路(6)の外側に密着されるとともに、前記螺旋通路(51、52、53)は前記メイン通路(6)の管外壁に固着された断面形状が半円弧状の半殻体によって囲まれた通路からなり、
さらに、前記複数の螺旋通路(51、52、53)の入口開口(15)および出口開口(16)の位置及び開口する方向が前記メイン通路(6)の入口開口および出口開口の管路軸方向における位置及び開口する方向と共通し、
前記複数の螺旋通路(5 1 、5 2 、5 3 )のそれぞれの通路長さは螺旋勾配を変えて、消音すべき音波スペクトルの周波数バンドにマッチさせてあることを特徴とする管通路の消音装置。 - 前記螺旋通路(51、52、53)の合計の通路断面積が前記メイン通路(6)の通路断面積と異なることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記螺旋通路(51、52、53)の合計の通路断面積が前記メイン通路(6)の通路断面積よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項1或は2記載の装置。
- 前記螺旋通路(51、52、53)はそれぞれ通路断面積が異なることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記螺旋通路(5 1 、5 2 、5 3 )の巻き方向が異なって形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
