Abstract

Description
ルミネセンス領域は、正孔輸送特性を有する1つまたは複数の材料も含むことができる。ルミネセンス領域において使用することのできる正孔輸送材料の例としては、その全体を参照として本明細書に組み込む、米国特許第5728801号に開示されている、ポリピロール、ポリアニリン、ポリ(フェニレンビニレン)、ポリチオフェン、ポリアリールアミンおよびこれらの誘導体、ならびに周知の半導体性有機材料と、その全体を参照として本明細書に組み込む米国特許第4356429号に開示されている1,10,15,20−テトラフェニル−21H,23H−ポルフィリン銅(II)などのポルフィリン誘導体と、銅フタロシアニンおよび銅テトラメチル・フタロシアニンと、亜鉛フタロシアニンと、酸化チタン・フタロシアニンと、マグネシウム・フタロシアニンなどとがある。
Claims (22)
- 第1の電極と、
第2の電極と、
前記第1および第2の電極間に配設された複数のルミネセンス領域と、
連続的なルミネセンス領域間に配設された1つまたは複数の中間電極と
を含み、前記1つまたは複数の中間電極うち少なくとも1つが、第1の電荷注入層と、第2の電荷注入層と、前記第1および第2の電荷注入層間に配設された金属−有機混合層とを含む金属−有機混合層電極である、積層型OLED。 - 前記金属−有機混合層電極の前記第1および第2の電荷注入層が、正孔注入層および電子注入層からなる群から個別に選択される、請求項1に記載の積層型OLED。
- 前記金属−有機混合層電極の前記金属−有機混合層が、約5から約95体積パーセントの量の金属材料と、約5〜約95体積パーセントの量の有機材料とを別々に含む、請求項1に記載の積層型OLED。
- 前記金属−有機混合層電極の前記金属−有機混合層が、約5から約30体積パーセントの量の金属材料と、約95〜約70体積パーセントの量の有機材料とを含む、請求項1に記載の積層型OLED。
- 前記第1の電荷注入層が電子注入層であり、前記第2の電荷注入層が正孔注入層である、請求項1に記載の積層型OLED。
- 前記第1の電荷注入層が正孔注入層であり、前記第2の電荷注入層が電子注入層である、請求項1に記載の積層型OLED。
- 前記第1の電荷注入層が正孔注入層であり、前記第2の電荷注入層が正孔注入層である、請求項1に記載の積層型OLED。
- 前記第1の電荷注入層が電子注入層であり、前記第2の電荷注入層が電子注入層である、請求項1に記載の積層型OLED。
- 前記中間電極のうち少なくとも1つまたは複数が、FeCl3、AlCl3、InCl3、GaCl3、SbCl5、トリニトロフルオレノン、2,3,5,6−テトラフルオロ−7,7,8,8−テトラシクロキノジメタン、およびこれらの組合せからなる群から選択された電子受容性材料を含む正孔注入層を含む、請求項1に記載の積層型OLED。
- 前記正孔注入層が、N,N’−ジ(ナフタレン−1−イル)−N,N’−ジフェニル−ベンジジン(NPB)、4,4’4”−トリス(N,N−ジフェニルアミノ)トリフェニルアミン(mTDATA)、2,5−ジ−t−ブチルフェニル−N,N’−ジフェニル−N,N’−ビス(3−メチルフェニル)−(1,1’−ビフェニル)−4,4’−ジアミン(BP−TPD)、N,N’−ジフェニル−N,N’−ビス(3−メチルフェニル)−(1,1’−ビフェニル)−4,4’−ジアミン(TPD)、銅フタロシアニン(CuPc)、バナジル−フタロシアニン(VOPc)、ポリ(3,4−エチレンジオキシチオフェン)(PEDOT)、ポリアニリン(PAni)、およびこれらの組合せからなる群から選択された正孔輸送材料をさらに含む、請求項9に記載の積層型OLED。

- 前記金属−有機混合層電極の前記金属−有機混合層が、Li、Na、K、Rb、Ls、Be、Mg、Ca、Sr、Ba、Sc、Y、La、Ti、Zr、Hf、V、Nb、Ta、Cr、Mo、W、Mn、Tc、Fe、Ru、Os、Co、Rh、Ir、Ni、Pd、Pt、Co、Ag、Au、Zn、Cd、B、Al、Ga、In、Sn、Pb、Sb、Bi、Se、Te、Ce、Nd、Sm、Eu、およびこれらの組合せからなる群から選択された金属を含む金属材料を含む、請求項1に記載の積層型OLED。
- 前記各電荷注入層が、約0.1から約50nmの厚さを別々に有する、請求項1に記載の積層型OLED。
- 前記中間電極のそれぞれの前記金属−有機混合層が、約5から約100nmの厚さを別々に有する、請求項1に記載の積層型OLED。
- 前記1つまたは複数の中間電極が、約5から約250nmの厚さを別々に有する、請求項1に記載の積層型OLED。
- 前記OLEDが、第1および第2の電荷注入層間に配設された金属−有機混合層を含む2つ以上の中間電極を含み、それぞれの中間電極の前記各電荷注入層が、類似の電荷注入機能を有する、請求項1に記載の積層型OLED。
- 前記OLEDが、第1および第2の電荷注入層間に配設された金属−有機混合層を含む2つ以上の中間電極を含み、前記各電荷注入層が、互いに異なる電荷注入機能を有する、請求項1に記載の積層型OLED。
- 請求項1に記載の積層型OLEDを含む表示デバイス。
