Abstract
Un método para mejorar diversos rasgos relacionados con el rendimiento y/o características del crecimiento de plantas, en las plantas mediante la modulación de la expresión en una planta de un ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido tipo C3H, o un polipéptido tipo SPATULA (SPT), o un polipéptido 1D12 (deficiencia de hierro inducida 2), o una subunidad del complejo de proteína tipo elF4F, o un polipéptido GR-RBP (proteína de unión a ARN rico en glicina). Plantas que tienen expresión modulada y/o actividad de un ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido tipo C3H, o un polipéptido tipo SPATULA (SPT), o un polipéptido lDl2 (deficiencia de hierro inducida 2), o una subunidad del complejo de proteína tipo eIF4F, o polipéptido GR-RBP (proteína de unión a ARN rico en glicina), en donde dichas plantas tienen mejores rasgos relacionados con el rendimiento y/o características del crecimiento de la planta con respecto a las correspondientes plantas de tipo silvestre u otras plantas de control. También constructos de utilidad para los métodos de la invención.
