Summary
Eddie joins Buck on the couch, handing him his full-to-the-brim, decade-old, Christmas in Peru mug, complete with some marshmallows on top. He smiles at the way Buck’s engagement and wedding ring clink against the ceramic. As he places Chris’ hot chocolate on the table and nurses his own cup of coffee, he drops a peck to Buck’s lips, relaxing into the couch.
“Thank you, baby,” Buck hums. He rubs his nose against Eddie’s for a moment after.
“Ugh, are your parents being gross too?” Chris complains to the FaceTime call. Immediately, several resounding and annoyed ‘Yes’s answer his question.

Summary
Years ago, almost a full decade, Shannon had asked him to move and Eddie refused because he was trying to build a life for himself again. Eddie knows if he asks Buck, he’ll get that same refusal. Worse, Buck could say yes and Eddie would be uprooting Buck from the very life he built for himself.
He doesn’t ask, and Buck doesn’t offer, and they pack up Eddie Diaz’s life in Los Angeles into cardboard boxes.
Eddie moves to Texas. Buck buys his house. There’s a love story somewhere in here.
