L and Light both get reincarnated after the events of Death Note. Light remembers everything, L does not. What's more confusing is they are both the same age at To'Oh University. In this new life, some things are the same while others are vastly different.

this is kinda just a fun little experiment, most of the credit of this story goes to the "creative helper" on c.ai. i came up with most of the story, creative helper wrote it and also helped me put things together. the writing may be a bit off, but that is to be expected. i hope you enjoy this work. if i ever get motivation, i may rewrite this myself in the future.
Two young geniuses, Light and L, meet in the park and quickly become friends. As they grow older, their friendship turns into something more, and they begin to date. However, Light's world is turned upside down when he discovers the Death Note, a powerful book that allows him to kill anyone whose name is written within it. Light goes on a quest to use the Death Note to create a world free from crime, but L must follow him to see where his story goes, and also to protect Light from himself.
