六，Preparation before use

1， First put the SIM card with GPRS function and full capacity battery in place.（Do charge the battery to capacity in 24 hours for first

Put the tracker outdoor（it couldn’t receive GPRS signal indoor） ”to turn on the unit.

3， Check 4 red GPS indictor light, keep flashing means the unit has received the signals; otherwise it will keep flashing 2 seconds every
1 second.
4， Check 5 green GSM indictor light, keep flashing 3 seconds every 1 second means the unit has received the signal; otherwise it will
keep flashing 2 seconds every 1 second.
5， Prepare 1 or 3 phone number as the governor of the tracker when the indictor is normal.

七，Authorization
There are only 3 numbers able to be authorized as the governor, the first number will be the default number when sending SOS message,
the other 2 numbers are optional.
Send“W******,003#” to set up a authorized number when receiving “Set No.* sos number(**********) ok”. In the reply, the first *
means the serial-number, you can totally set 3 authorized numbers. And the * in brackets means the authorized number.
Delete authorized number
Send “W******,990#” to the unit, and 3 authorized numbers will be deleted together when received “Initial phone number ok”

八，Change the password

1. Default password：000000, it is a public and temporary password, pls. change it immediately.
2. Send “W+old password,001,new password+#” to change the password. 001 is the command code. Refer to “Command set”. Make
sure the password is in 6 digits, or else the tracker can not recognize the password.
3. Be sure keep the new password in mind, you have to restore the original setting in case of losing the new password. Refer to
“Command set”.

九，Set APN（Non-Chinese users）

1, APN, the full name is access point name, the APN are different for different GSM network operators in different countries. You can
ask local GSM network operator for the APN of your GSM card, or you can also check it through below website.

The default APN is CMNET, Chinese users can ignore it.
2， Refer to the Command set to change APN when you know the correct APN.

十，Location（Chinese address）
Open the website http://www.trackbox.com.cn.
You should register when you first land. Pls. make sure the supplier has been added in. Input 000000 if you don’t change the default
password of the unit, or it will not be verified.

1，Dial the tracker number to locate
Dial the tracker by authorized number, hang up automatically
after connect, and will receive the location information about 1
minute later (pictured).
（1）Time of locating

conversion according to the local time and UTC

（2）9=9 satellites 10= GSM signal value

（6）open the map and check the location of the unit.

2，Real-time locate on network(make sure the service is open)

Land in http://www.trackbox.com.cn on your computer, you can execute real-time locate, History Navigation，user management, unit
setting etc.
As below: The left side is functional area, and the right side shows electronic map with the latest location of all the units. the blue points means
the locations within 1 hour，red points are locations before 1 hour.

3， Replay History Navigation

The system can show the navigation of the units within 3 months, and show them on the map. First, chose a unit through the unit list,
then select a period you want to inquiry, thirdly press the key “history navigation”. The result will show as above: the path in the period

shows in red locus, start from point “A” and end in “Z”. The blue point will move on the route in chronological order.
Cautions: Waiting time might be a little longer if the inquiry period is too long. Pls. be patient!
4，Movement Alert

Log on the system and make sure the latitude and longitude of the tracker. Set the move radius of the unit. The radius can only be 30、50、100、

200、300、500、1000、2000M. it will send alert message to the authorized number when out of range.

5，Free Google Global Positioning

Install Google map from the CD (or download on line) to your computer, then open it and fill in the longitude and latitude in location
message, as below:

Note: comma should be between the

latitude and longitude as below:

十一，Set IP address and port

Default IP: 121.14.137.132, PORT：7489 （Ignore it if you don’t change the default server.）

Users can change IP and port accordingly if needed. Refer to “Command set”

十二，Voice Surveillance

Send “W******,030#”，to the unit and it will reply ” Start monitor” and switch to “monitor” mode，In this mode the other two authorized
numbers don’t work. When these two numbers call in, it will send “Phone *(***********) is monitoring”
The tracker restores location automatically after monitor. If the user don’t monitor after sending the command, it will always await till
restart the tracker.

十三，SOS Button：

Press the SOS button for 2 seconds, it will send SOS message to the first authorized number as below:

Press the button more than 2 seconds; it will call all the 3 authorized numbers for 3 times till no answer.

十四，Remote turn on/off

Send “W******,007,1#” to turn off the unit, and send “W******,007,0#” to turn off it. This command can help you save energy when
the tracker doesn’t need to work. But this can only work when the unit is on.

十五，Low Battery Alert：

The unit will send message to the first authorized number as below when it is in low power.

十六，Indictor Light
There are 2 indictor lights: one is the green GSM indictor (near the USB jack), the other one is red GPRS indictor.
It will keep flashing when GPS locates successfully, otherwise it will flash every 1 second.
It will keep flashing for 3 seconds every 0.5 second when GSM network works; or it will keep flashing for only 1 second every 0.5 second. And
it will flash every 0.1 second when sending message or making a call.
The lights will turn off after working for 10 minutes for saving power, then it works 10 minutes every 2 hours.

十七，Common Command set

command format remark

Inquiry latitude and W******,000# Send “W+ inquiry password,000”, the unit sends GPS
longitude message one minute later.
Change the password W******,001,******# The first 6 digitals is old password, the after 6 digitals is new password.
It will reply “ Set Password Ok + new password” if set correctly.
Location times W******,002,Tn# If receive: Send n GPS messages
It replies GPS message every one minute for n times.
Timing location W******,002,0/9/60# Send “Every 0/9/60 minutes send a GPS message” to the tracker. It
will send a GPS message every 0 or 9 or 60 minutes. 0 means stop
timing location and location times.
Set authorized number W******,003# Send “ Set No.* sos number(**********) ok” to tracker
The first “*” means the serial no. of the authorized number. Totally 3
numbers at most. And the * in brackets means the authorized
number. The number must be authorized itself.
Voice Surveillance W******,030# Send “Start monitor” to tracker, it turns to monitor mode.
The indictor light won’t prompt calling in or hung up automatically till
the caller hangs up in this mode.
In this mode the other two authorized numbers don’t work. When these
two numbers call in, it will send “Phone *(***********) is
monitoring”
The tracker restores location automatically after monitor. if the user
don’t monitor after sending the command, it will always await till
restart the tracker.

=0 cancel low battery alert; >0 alert while battery is under 3.6V

Overspeed alert W******,005,XX# XX （unit: 10Km/h ）

=00 cancel overspeed alert(default); =01，set overspeed alert
Unit reply : SET (005,XX) OK
Remote turn on/off W******,007,X# X=0 turn on Unit reply: Open equipment.
X=1 turn off Unit reply: Close equipment at once.
This command only works when the unit is turned on.
Extended function W******,008,AD# A=0, no latitude and longitude message when get a call
A=1, sending latitude and longitude when get a call（default）
D=0, turn off greeted message（ default ）
D=1, turn on greeted message（send to the first authorized
number）

Set APN W******,011,APN, APN The command can totally be 39 characters at most. Ignore it if there is no
User name,APN Password # APN user name or APN Password. （ default: CMNET）

Set the interval of upload GPS W******,014,TTTTT # The “*” can be digital only, and the unit is second. 00000 means turn off.
data 00001－65535 means the interval of upload.

Power saving setting W******,021,XX# XX=00. turn off power saving mode, keep GPS working
XX=01. turn on power saving mode, GPS off, GSM standby

Initialization W******,990# All the data will recover to default settings, and the authorized numbers
will be deleted.
Unit reply: Initial phone number ok.

十八，FAQ

十九，Cautions

Please comply with the instructions to extend the unit life:

1. Keep the unit dry. Any liquid, i.e. rain, moisture, may destroy or damage the inside circuitry.
2. Don’t use store the unit in dusty places.
3. Don’t put the unit in overheated or overcooled places.
4. Handle carefully. Don’t vibrate or shake it violently.
5. Clear the unit with a piece of dry cloth. Don’t clean in chemicals, detergent.
6. Don’t paint the unit, this may cause some foreign materials left in between the parts.
7. Don’t disassemble or refit the unit.
8. Please use the battery and charger provided by manufacturer. Using other batteries and chargers will cause unwanted situation.
9. Don’t dismount the antenna randomly, or use other antennas. This may interfere the transmission, and increase the radiation as well.
