Kimi Räikkönen F1 driver

Kimi-Matias Räikkönen was born on October 17, 1979, in Espoo, in Finland, from the age
of 10 he became interested in motor racing and began his career in karting; Since 1999 he
began to compete in Formula Ford and in 2000 in the British Formula Renault 2000, which
he won together with Manor. Thanks to that victory, he was given the opportunity to
compete in Formula 1 and his debut was in 2001 with Sauber. Thanks to his talent in his
first year, he received a call from the McLaren team, with whom he was from 2002 to 2006,
and in that period, he achieved two runners-up, in addition to his first podiums and victories
in F1 (Car and driver, 2018).
However, it was not until 2007 that Kimi signed for the Ferrari team with which he
obtained his first and only title, being crowned Formula 1 champion, from there he
continued with this team for two more years, but he abandoned Formula 1 to compete in the
world rally championship; His story in Formula 1 did not end there, since in 2012 he gave a
surprise and returned to Formula 1 with Lotus, where he achieved more victories and a
third place in the world championship, in later years he returned with the Ferrari team, but
since the 2019 he competed for alfa Romeo where he concluded his sports career at the age
of 42 (vavel, 2020).
