System of Play
The tournament will be conducted as per FIDE Laws of Chess and FIDE Swiss System with 07
(Seven) Rounds.
Tie Break : Latest FIDE Tie Breaks will be followed .
In the event of tie the cash prizes will not be shared.
Ban on Electronic devices and Wrist watch

All electronic items including Mobile Phones and wrist watches (all type of watches) are not
allowed in the tournament hall.
No Accommodation will be provided.

GENERAL INFORMATION
AICF Registration
All Indian players must be registered with AICF for the year 2022 – 2023 before the registration
deadline to participate in the tournament. Those who not registered with AICF are required to
do AICF registration online at https://prs.aicf.in/players before sending their entry.
Protest
Protest, if any against the decision of the Chief Arbiter, shall be made in writing with a protest
fee of Rs.500/- within 15 Minutes of the completion of the game. The amount shall be refunded
if the appeal is upheld.
Covid Protocol
1. All players are required to mandatorily adhere the Covid Protocol issued by Government of
India/Government of Tamil Nadu at the time of tournament.
2. Any symptomatic players will be removed from the tournament as precaution. All players are
obliged to obey this rule and no protest can be made against this decision of organizing
committee on this.
3. Players are obliged to undergo random RT PCR/Antigen Test conducted by the organizing
committee.
4. All the players should be compulsorily vaccinated before the tournament.
5. All Officials and Arbiters will be fully vaccinated.
6. Sanitization of Chess Board and Chess pieces will be carried out at regular intervals.
7. Parents and accompanying persons are not allowed inside tournament hall at all times.
8. Due to any unforeseen scenario, if the event needs to be cancelled, then TNSCA’s obligation is
limited to refunding the entry fee paid by the players.
9. By enrolling for the events, the players abide by all the terms and conditions of the
tournament for participation
Withdrawals:
A Player may withdraw at any stage of the event, after informing Chief Arbiter in writing.
Appeals Committee:
Before the commencement of the Tournament, appeals committee comprising of five members,
will be formed from the senior participants present at the players meeting. The appeals
committee decision will be final and binding on all the players concerned.
Disqualification :
No Participants will leave the venue before the prize distribution function without the
permission of the chief Arbiter.
Interpretation:
For Interpretation of Rule(s) and deciding any point not covered by rules, the decision of the
Tournament Committee shall be final and Binding. The Tournament committee has every right
to make any addition or amendment to these rules without prior notice. However, such changes
will be displayed at the tournament Venue.
Players can also pay the entry fee directly to the following account through NEFT and
forward the entry form along with transaction receipt.
Please note that cash deposit in account will not be entertained.
