    FOR LONGEST UNDERCARRIAGE LIFE

    KEEP TRACKS PROPERLY ADJUSTED

    TRACK ADJUSTMENT INSPECTION FOR D11T/R/N, D10T/R/N,


    D9T/R/N, D8T/R/N
    • Allow the machine to coast to a stop without the use of the brakes. (Note: If slack is
    still present between the rear idler and sprocket, lightly power the tractor forward to
    assure all slack is between the sprocket and front idler.)
    • Place a tight line over the grouser tips from the sprocket to the front idler.
    • For all tractors without carrier rollers, measure distance “A” from the line to the
    grouser tips at the lowest point of sag. For tractors with carrier rollers, measure
    distance “A” in two places. These places are between (1) the front idler and carrier
    roller, and (2) the carrier roller and sprocket. Average the two measurements.
    Distance “A” should be within these limits:

    • If the track is too tight or too loose, refer to the Machine Maintenance Guide for
    proper track adjustment procedures.
    • DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TIGHTEN TRACK if distance “B” exceeds the measurements
    shown below. Internal roller frame damage may occur if this limit is exceeded.
