    What is Bar Chart?
    ▪ PMI: “it is a graphic display of schedule-related information.
    In the typical bar chart, schedule activities or work
    breakdown structure components are listed down the left
    side of the chart, dates are shown across the top, and
    activity durations are shown as date-placed horizontal bars.”

    To Prepare a Gantt Chart
    1. Formulate a WBS to identify major activities of the project
    2. Allocate durations to activities
    3. Determine the sequence of activities

    Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
    ▪ WBS divides the project into detailed steps
    ▪ Reasonable number of activities that are easily measured
    and controlled without being overly detailed.

    ▪ Lack of logical representation
    ▪ Does not directly identify critical activities
    ▪ Ineffective in assessing the impact of changes
    ▪ Size and complexity of projects
