Swedish gaming regulator Spelinspektionen announced this week that it has banned operator Small House BV from offering services in the country, as the group lacks the proper licence to do so.
The move is the latest in an effort to keep unlicenced operators and software groups from offering their services in the country, protecting gamblers and companies that have properly obtained licences in the process.
Small House operates BC.game, a crypto betting site that offers sportsbetting and casino services. The group does hold a gaming licence through Curacao, but not through Sweden, necessitating the blocking order.
Spelinspektionen has been working hard over the past few months to crack down on illegal gaming operators, notably going after skin betting sites that allow users to bet on games to win video game skins, which can then be sold back to the sites for money.
