A gambler struck it big just before Christmas, as they hit Microgaming's Mega Moolah Mega Jackpot, taking home a massive $13,527,999 haul.
The casino that hosted the win hasn't been named yet, but we can confirm that our jackpot tracker picked up the win on Christmas Eve. The win is the 86th for this particular prize since we started tracking it in December 2009, and it comes in far ahead of the $6,135,091 average that's hit roughly every 8 weeks or so.
Despite the epic size of the win, this isn't even in the top-five in terms of jackpot wins for the Mega Moolah Mega. The largest win recorded came in 2021, when a Belgian player hit the prize for €19,429,358 at Napoleon Caisno.
The Mega Moolah series of jackpots are offered on different Microgaming slots and grow with every spin of the reels. The jackpot is awarded randomly and occurs when a player is able to advance to a jackpot bonus round and land on a white wedge.
