Over the weekend a punter playing the Microgaming video slot Mega Moolah took home the game's Mega Jackpot for a huge $11,633,898 cash prize. The lucky punter, Marcus Goodwin, was playing at YakoCasino, a relatively new online casino running on the EveryMatrix platform.
The win is the 29th hit for the Mega Jackpot since we began tracking it since December 2009. We figure the jackpot was hit in a currency other than British Pounds, as the jackpot only drops by a certain amount when players win the jackpot in a different currency. By that standard, it is likely that the jackpot was hit in either Canadian, Australian, or New Zealand dollars.
The Mega Moolah Jackpot is available to be won on a handful of Microgaming slots, and is awarded randomly. The jackpot currently holds the Guinness World Record for largest progressive jackpot when Jon Heywood won £13,212,882 at Betway last year.

UPDATE: We can confirm that the jackpot was hit by a player named Marcus Goodwin at YakoCasino, who said, "This is obviously life-changing! I can't believe it! I will definitely be buying a nice big house and a vacation cottage. And taking my entire family on a first class trip to Africa! This will mean great Christmas presents for everyone!"
