Abstract

A sealing material (21) for an image forming device is provided, on an elastic supporting layer (22) thereof, with a sliding layer (24) having a plurality of long pile yarns (27a) and short pile yarns (27b) of different lengths planted electrostatically. The sealing material (21) is arranged in the image forming device such that the sliding layer (24) is in contact with the circumferential surface of a photosensitive drum (11) for sealing leakage of a toner from the end thereof.
