Abstract
酵素固定化電極は、多孔質カーボンなどからなる電極(11)と、この電極(11)上のリン脂質層(12)と、このリン脂質層(12)に固定化された酵素(13、14)とを有する。酵素(13、14)は例えばジアホラーゼおよびグルコースデヒドロゲナーゼである。電極(11)とリン脂質層(12)との間にタンパク質などからなる中間層を設けてもよい。この酵素固定化電極を酵素を用いた燃料電池の負極や正極に用いて、一種または複数種の酵素を電極上の最適な位置に固定化することができる高効率の酵素固定化電極およびこの酵素固定化電極を用いた高効率の燃料電池を提供する。
