Abstract
액정 셀, 액정 셀의 한쪽의 면에 맞붙여진 편광판 A, 액정 셀의 다른 한쪽의 면에 맞붙여진 편광판 B를 갖는 액정 표시 장치로, 상기 편광판 A는, 편광자의 투과축 방향이 액정 표시 장치의 장변 방향과 평행이고, 편광자의 적어도 편면에 폴리에스테르 필름이 적층된 구조이며, 상기 편광판 B는, 편광자의 흡수축 방향이 액정 표시 장치의 장변 방향과 평행이고, 편광자의 적어도 편면에 보호 필름이 적층된 구조이며, 상기 폴리에스테르 필름의 액정 표시 장치의 장변 방향의 수축력 Ff와, 편광판 B가 갖는 편광자의 액정 표시 장치의 장변 방향의 수축력 Fp가 0.1≤ Ff/Fp≤2의 식을 만족하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치이다.

Claims (10)
- 액정 셀, 액정 셀의 한쪽의 면에 맞붙여진 편광판 A, 액정 셀의 다른 한쪽의 면에 맞붙여진 편광판 B를 갖는 액정 표시 장치로,
상기 편광판 A는, 편광자의 투과축 방향이 액정 표시 장치의 장변 방향과 평행이고, 편광자의 액정 셀과는 원위측에 폴리에스테르 필름이 적층된 구조이며,
상기 편광판 B는, 편광자의 흡수축 방향이 액정 표시 장치의 장변 방향과 평행이고, 편광자의 적어도 편면에 보호 필름이 적층된 구조이며,
상기 폴리에스테르 필름의 액정 표시 장치의 장변 방향의 수축력 Ff와, 편광판 B가 갖는 편광자의 액정 표시 장치의 장변 방향의 수축력 Fp가 하기 식 (1)을 만족하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치:
식 (1) 0.1≤Ff/Fp≤2
(단, 수축력 Ff(N/m)는, 폴리에스테르 필름의 두께(㎜)×탄성률(N/㎟)×열수축률(%)÷100×1000이고, 수축력 Fp(N/m)는, 편광판 B의 편광자의 두께(㎜)×탄성률(N/㎟)×열수축률(%)÷100×1000이다.). - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 폴리에스테르 필름의 액정 표시 장치의 장변 방향의 탄성률이 1000∼9000N/㎟인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 폴리에스테르 필름의 액정 표시 장치의 장변 방향의 열수축률이 0.1∼5%인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 폴리에스테르 필름의 두께가 40∼200㎛인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 폴리에스테르 필름의 배향 주축의 기울기가 15도 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 폴리에스테르 필름의 수축 주축의 기울기가 15도 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 내지 제 6 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 편광판 A는, 편광자의 액정 셀측에 TAC 필름, 환상 올레핀 필름, 또는, 아크릴 필름이 적층된 구조인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 내지 제 6 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 편광판 A는, 편광자의 액정 셀측에 보호 필름 또는 광학 보상 필름이 적층되지 않는 구조인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 내지 제 8 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 편광판 B는, 편광자의 액정 셀측에 TAC 필름, 환상 올레핀 필름, 또는, 아크릴 필름이 적층된 구조인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 내지 제 8 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 편광판 B는, 편광자의 액정 셀측에 보호 필름 또는 광학 보상 필름이 적층되지 않는 구조인 액정 표시 장치.
