Description
請求項7記載の本発明は、請求項4記載の側面衝突検出センサを備えたボディー構造において、前記衝撃伝達部材は、ロッカのアウタパネルの外側壁の下部に配設されている、ことを特徴としている。
請求項8記載の本発明は、請求項7記載の側面衝突検出センサを備えたボディー構造において、前記衝撃伝達部材は、その上端部がロッカのアウタパネルの外側壁に固定されていると共に、その下端部がロッカのアウタパネルの下端壁に固定されている、ことを特徴としている。

Claims (8)
- 車体側部のドア開口部を開閉するサイドドアと、
ドア開口部の下縁側に車両前後方向に沿って配置されたロッカと、
当該ロッカの長手方向の所定位置から車両上方側へ立ち上がると共に、下部側の所定位置に側面衝突状態を加速度から検出する側面衝突検出センサが取り付けられたピラーと、
を含んで構成された側面衝突検出センサを備えたボディー構造であって、
ロッカの長手方向において着座状態の乗員の側部に対応する部位の車両幅方向外側及び当該ロッカの外側部分を覆う外装部材の内側の少なくとも一方に、車両幅方向へ所定の長さ突出し側面衝突時の衝撃を側面衝突検出センサに伝達する衝撃伝達部材を設けた、
ことを特徴とする側面衝突検出センサを備えたボディー構造。 - 前記サイドドア内には、ドア前後方向に沿う略全長に亘ってビーム状の補強部材が掛け渡されていると共に、当該補強部材は前記衝撃伝達部材よりも車両幅方向外側に配置されており、
側面衝突時に当該補強部材からピラーを介して側面衝突検出センサに加速度が入力され始めた入力開始時から、側面衝突検出センサを使って乗員保護装置を適切に作動させるためのセンシングリミットである入力終了時までの間に、前記衝撃伝達部材が前記サイドドアを介して衝突体と衝突するように当該補強部材及び当該衝撃伝達部材の断面形状を含む相対的な関係を設定した、
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の側面衝突検出センサを備えたボディー構造。 - 前記衝撃伝達部材を設けずに前記補強部材のみを設けたときに側面衝突検出センサへ入力される加速度の波形と、前記補強部材を設けずに前記衝撃伝達部材のみを設けたときに側面衝突検出センサへ入力される加速度の波形とを合成して得られる合成波のピーク値が、前記入力終了時よりも所定時間早く現れるように、当該補強部材と当該衝撃伝達部材との車両幅方向の相対的な位置関係を設定した、
ことを特徴とする請求項2記載の側面衝突検出センサを備えたボディー構造。 - 前記衝撃伝達部材は、断面形状が略コ字状又は略ハット状とされており、突出部分が車両幅方向外側を向くようにロッカの車両幅方向外側の面に固定されている、
ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の側面衝突検出センサを備えたボディー構造。 - 前記衝撃伝達部材は、断面形状が略コ字状又は略ハット状とされており、突出部分が車両幅方向内側を向くように外装部材の内側の面に設けられている、
ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の側面衝突検出センサを備えたボディー構造。 - 前記外装部材は樹脂製とされており、前記衝撃伝達部材は当該外装部材と一体に成形されたリブ状の突出部である、
ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の側面衝突検出センサを備えたボディー構造。 - 前記衝撃伝達部材は、ロッカのアウタパネルの外側壁の下部に配設されている、
ことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の側面衝突検出センサを備えたボディー構造。 - 前記衝撃伝達部材は、その上端部がロッカのアウタパネルの外側壁に固定されていると共に、その下端部がロッカのアウタパネルの下端壁に固定されている、
ことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の側面衝突検出センサを備えたボディー構造。
