ESTE COMPLEJO ES MENOS SOLUBLE EN LA SOLUCION REVELADORA QUE LA RESINA FENOLICA SIN COMPLEJAR. POR LO TANTO CUANDO ESTE COMPLEJO SE CALIENTA CON LA FORMA DE LA IMAGEN, EL COMPLEJO SE FRACTURA PERMITIENDO DE ESTA FORMA QUE LA RESINA FENOLICA SIN COMPLEJAR SE DISUELVA EN LA SOLUCION REVELADORA. DE ESTA FORMA SE INCREMENTA LA SOLUBILIDAD DIFERENCIAL ENTRE LAS AREAS RECALENTADAS DE LA RESINA FENOLICA Y LAS AREAS NO CALENTADAS CUANDO LA RESINA FENOLICA SE COMPLEJA. PREFERIBLEMENTE UN MATERIAL ABSORBENTE DE LA RADIACION LASER ESTA TAMBIEN PRESENTE SOBRE LA BASE LITOGRAFICA. SE HA LOCALIZADO UN GRAN NUMERO DE COMPUESTOS QUE FORMAN UN COMPLEJO TERMICAMENTE FRANGIBLE CON LA RESINA FENOLICA.
