Coffee Sleeve Journal

This is a coffee sleeve journal I made for my friend Deb.

The base is a Starbucks coffee sleeve.

Top has two natural coffee filers attached. I folded them over

an turned them into pockets to hold additional things that Deb could

used in her bee themed journal she is making.

Inside cover and first page.

I used Tim Holtz paper dolls and other ephemera to decorate the pages.

Added some pockets.

another little pocket made with a butterfly.

On the other side of the "noteworthy" is a pull down

spot for additional writing.

I held that space together with a paper clip.

and the back cover. I was happy to be able to use some of my coffee

dyed paper. I'm trying to make enough of it to last

me through the winter. So much easier to dry it outside in the sun.

Coffee Sleeve Easter Cart

So is it too early for Easter?

Answer is no if you are a crafter like me.

Last year I made Valentine carts using a coffee sleeve for the base.

Here is a photo of the one I made. Isn't it super cute?

Had so much fun making it last year that I thought

an Easter cart would be perfect.

The bunny on the front is made from the following: 1 inch, and 1 1/4 inch circle punches:

the ears are made with a flower building punch.

Had to add the big white fluffy pom-pom for it's tail.

The decorative flower trim going around the cart I got last year

at Hobby Lobby. Perfect for Spring!

The stamps used to create the greeting on the front, and

the adorable egg, and carrot poke is from the Hot Buy section at Michael's.

The Hello Sping

tag was made using the same punches as on the front of the cart.

This time I used a smaller glittery pom-pom for the tail.

This was such a fun and happy project to make!

I know I'll be making a few more of them to give away.

Coffee Album made by Kathleen

Yesterday I posted the coffee filter album I made.

Today I'm sharing the beautiful album that Kathleen

made for me.

Love the cover!

The heart wraps around to the spine of the album.

Inside view. She added pull outs with little

heart tabs.

So cute!!!!

She cut a smaller piece than the sleeve to make the inserts.

Big thanks Kathleen. I love all the goodies you sent!

Tomorrow I'll be sharing more.

Happy first day of February! The longest month of the

winter for me is January. So I'm happy to have that month behind me!

Coffee Sleeve Album

My friend Kathleen, and I just completed another swap.

This one was Valentine themed.

We did a coffee sleeve album. She received her swap yesterday so

I'm safe to post the album I made her.

Now Kathleen is very good at making albums with hinges. I

on the other hand am not, but I'm learning!

Here is the outside view of the album. Love how the spine turned out!

Inside view of the first sleeve. Used a paper pack I had

leftover from last year to create it.

The album holds 4 coffee sleeves.

I'll post the one Kathleen made me tomorrow.

It is awesome!

Valentine Stand made with Coffee Sleeve

How adorable is this Valentine stand?

Would you believe the base is just a coffee sleeve I got

at Starbucks?

Covered it with fun patterned paper.

The canopy is also patterned paper. Just a few score lines, and

a scallop border punch was all I needed to create it.

The canopy is held in place with two paper straws. I wrapped

matching paper around them.

Here is a view of the back.

and another look at the front with out the goodies inside.

Hope my partner enjoys this one. Made for the swappers corner FB group.

Halloween Extravaganza Swap

I joined a Halloween Extravaganza swap with the Swappers Corner FB

group. It was a very large swap. Received this great box from Evelyn yesterday.

First photo is a stuffed coffee sleeve. It was packed with great goodies!

Embellishment box. The boxes can be purchased at the Dollar Tree in the harware

dept. They they are decorated and filled.

Here is an inside view. I like that she decorated the inside lid as well.

Halloween themed flipbook.

This shows the book opened.

Embellishments.

Pocket letter.

Misc goodies.

and a spooky banner.

What a great job Evelyn! Thanks so much for swapping with me.

Speaking of Halloween. Today me and hubby put up the decorations.

I have a chicken going in the crockpot for dinner. Skip is at the rec center.

Later need to stop by the grocery store, and pick up a few things for

the birthday gathering tomorrow. I decided to make my own cake. So much

better than store bought if I do say so myself...and I do!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

So after that snow storm passed we had about

8 inches of snow. Hubby went out yesterday

afternoon and ran the snow thrower. I decided to

best spend my time crafting instead of going out

in the snow. Way to cold outside for me, but

it wasn't to cold in my craft room to make

this fun snowman! After he was completed

I mounted him on a covered coffee sleeve.

He is stuffed now and package up ready to

go be mailed on Tuesday.

Photos of the snow covered cars yesterday morning.

Shot out the kitchen sliding glass door. You can

see the snow drifts up against the back of the house.

The wall going around the deck is almost covered.

Our neighbor across from us running his machine.

The snow has stopped, and now we have freezing cold.

I think I'll be staying in today also!

Fall Themed Coffee Sleeve

I received this cute Fall themed coffee sleeve swap

in yesterday's mail.

So full of fall colors.

Love this little girl sitting on a pumpkin!

Janie also made a memorydex card to put in

the coffee sleeve.

Here is a closer look on how the front was decorated.

It always amazes me that the coffee sleeve can hold so many goodies!

Speaking of Fall....I finally made some pumpkin spice cupcakes yesterday.

I was in the mood to bake and what goes better in the fall than pumpkin baked anything?!!!

So is anyone afraid to go out on Friday the 13th?

Happy Mail!

I got happy mail yesterday!

My school yard friend Melody sent me some cool 3d stickers

that I can use on cards, and other projects.

Thanks for thinking of me Mel! I'll put them to good use.

I also received this cute Halloween stuffed coffee sleeve from

Deborah.

It is full of great Halloween embellishments, stickers, and more!

Deborah even decorated the back.

She said this is the first time she made a coffee sleeve. I think she did an

awesome job!

It got into the 80's yesterday. This crazy weather we are having is sucking the

life right out of Fall! Trying not to complain as it will be cold enough soon.

Me and hubby cleaned out the front flower bed, and tomorrow we

are going to clean the front of the house. Trying to get things cleaned up for

winter and the holidays.

Halloween Flipbag, and Coffee Sleeve

So I can post my Halloween flipbag now as my crafty buddy

Kathleen received her swap yesterday.

My theme here was a witchy handbag.

The vellum pocket in the front of the bag is suppose to be the

witch's wallet/

I ran the vellum through a spiderweb embossing folder.

Used mini staples along the side edges, and washi tape across the top edge.

Now going back to the front pocket I had this funky black beaded trim

that I thought would look cool on the bag.

This is a coffee sleeve base. I'm getting addicted to making coffee sleeves.

Here is what it looked like filled and packaged.

I also received my swap from Kathleen yesterday.

And as always it is so awesome! Sorry I didn't

have time to take photos of all the goodies yesterday so I'll be

posting all those yummy Halloween projects tomorrow.

Giving a shout out to my friend Kat who is traveling today.

She is coming to see me! YAY. She's my late birthday gift!

Be back tomorrow.
