INTRODUCCIÓN
En este trabajo podrás conocer más de 1 característica por la cual deberías de aprender inglés, una
de las lenguas más habladas en todo el mundo, también conocida como la lengua de los negocios
ya que al haberse esparcido por todo el mundo abre la posibilidad de que sea más fácil la
comunicación entre naciones y grandes empresas también trabajaremos el inglés de una forma
mucho más específica direccionándonos a la importancia de conocer este en la ciudad puerto en
la que vivimos.

JUSTIFICACION
Este trabajo empezó como una simple idea para concientizar a las personas de la necesidad
latente que se tiene por aprender inglés la misma que me motivó de llevarlo a ser físico, no podía
dejarlo como una simple idea, realmente era necesario que alguien plasmara la importancia y
necesidad de conocer el idioma y mucho más en buenaventura.

ANTECEDENTES
El idioma Inglés ha recorrido un largo camino: lo que empezó como un dialecto de pueblos
invasores, se fue enriqueciendo con el aporte de diversas culturas hasta convertirse en el idioma
más importante a nivel mundial. Aquí una reseña de esta interesante historia.
El inglés en nuestros días

El inglés es una lengua Germánica de la familia Indo-Europea. Hoy en día es el segundo idioma
más hablado en el mundo después del chino. No obstante, el inglés es la lengua más difundida a
nivel mundial y va en camino de convertirse en el idioma universal. Aquí algunas de las razones
que explican esta supremacía sobre otras lenguas como el francés, el español y el árabe:
1. Es la lengua oficial u co-oficial en más de 45 países.
2. La mitad de todos los acuerdos de negocios son llevados a cabo en inglés.
3. Dos tercios de los estudios científicos están escritos en inglés.
4. Más del 70% de todos los correos están escritos y dirigidos en inglés.
5. Es el idioma por excelencia de la ciencia de nuestros días: la informática.
6. La mayor parte del turismo internacional, la aviación y la diplomacia son conducidos en
inglés.
7. Además, el inglés está presente en la vida cultural, social, política y económica de la
mayoría de los países del orbe.
Origen e Historia
La historia del inglés puede ser descrita a partir de la llegada de tres tribus Germánicas a las Islas
Británicas en los años 500 A.C. Los Anglos, los Sajones y los Jutos cruzaron el Mar del Norte
desde lo que hoy conocemos como Dinamarca y el norte de Alemania. Los Anglos recibieron ese
nombre debido a su tierra de origen Engle o Angels. Ellos llamaron a su propia lengua Englisc,
palabra que derivó en English o inglés.
Antes de la llegada de las tribus germánicas, los habitantes de Gran Bretaña hablaban un idioma
de origen céltico. Estas personas se vieron forzadas a trasladarse hacia Gales, Cornualles y
Escocia, razón por la que el celta fue desplazado rápidamente. Un grupo emigró a la costa de la
Bretaña Francesa, donde sus descendientes, aún en nuestros días, hablan el idioma Bretón, de
origen celta.

BENEFICIOS DE HABLAR INGLES EN LA VIDA COTIDINA Y LABORAL
El inglés es el idioma usado en la mayoría de los países del mundo y se ha transformado en el

idioma universal para comunicarnos con personas de otras lenguas.
Es por esto que pensar en tomar cursos, reforzar o estudiarlo en tu casa o con amigos, se ha hecho
una necesidad latente y fundamental para enfrentar el mercado laboral actual.
 Para quienes viajan mucho, saber inglés se hace indispensable para comunicarse, incluso
en cosas tan básicas como tomar un tren, comprar pasajes, comprar una bebida, etc.
 Nosotros que vivimos en un entorno realmente influenciado por el inglés así vivamos en
una nación la cual si lengua materna sea español, también lo necesitamos en nuestro día a
día a cada momento ya que así sea para leer una etiqueta en nuestro shampoo o nuestra
comida lo necesitamos
 Si somos empresarios y solemos hacer grandes negocios nunca faltara el cliente el cual no
hable nuestro idioma y lo más probable que el que hable sea el idioma de los negocios

IMPORTANCIA DE HABLAR INGLÉS EN BUENAVENTURA.
Dominar el idioma ingles en una ciudad puerto como Buenaventura, se ha convertido en un

requerimiento para los profesionales que se ofertan en empleos perfilados a las actividades
relacionadas con la dirección y administración de servicios portuarios, pues Buenaventura es un
territorio que enlaza el intercambio de servicios y mercancías o productos entre Colombia y otros
países. Siendo nuestro país un productor de economía mixta hace que Buenaventura se fortalezca
y dinamice con mayor esmero el comercio exterior.
Así mismo, dado este patrón económico entre países, el fortalecimiento de estrategias dirigidas a
la atención de servicios portuarios y de comercio, genera el auge de empleos cuya oferta exige
conocimientos académicos en temas relacionados a la producción extranjera y al manejo que
requiere dicha producción para ser comercializada en nuestro país.
Así las cosas, cuando se relaciona varios países para llevar a cabo actividades económicas
también entra en juego las nacionalidades y el idioma cumple un papel importante en esta
relación, es como nace la necesidad de contar con personal capacitado idiomáticamente para
hacer esta relación posible. Dado que Buenaventura es un punto de intercambio comercial entre
países la persona dedicada al manejo de equipos de Cómputo y programación de Software debe
contar con los conocimientos pertinentes para la operatividad del mismo.
Cabe resaltar que, además, Buenaventura al ser una ciudad puerto; cuenta con una gran demanda
a nivel turístico, por lo cual genera el ingreso consecutivo de personas provenientes del exterior,
esto impulsa a que las personas se vayan educando en el idioma y de esta manera consigan
obtener una mejor oferta laboral en el territorio.

¿POR QUÉ ES IMPORTANTE EL APRENDIZAJE DE ESTE IDIOMA?
Hay muchas buenas razones para estudiar inglés...

1. Es esencial para trabajar
Sin duda alguna, dominar el inglés es fundamental para tener más posibilidades de encontrar un
buen trabajo. Si entre nuestros conocimientos se encuentra el dominio de este importante
idioma, se nos considerará candidatos mejor preparados y accederemos más fácilmente a puestos
de más relevancia dentro de cualquier empresa. El incremento de nuestras oportunidades
laborales es espectacular en el momento que dominamos un idioma de la importancia del inglés,
puesto que tendremos acceso a todo tipo de empresas multinacionales o aquellas que se mueven
en entornos internacionales, en los que los trabajadores son de distinta nacionalidad y el idioma
inglés es el elegido para comunicarse los unos con los otros. Esto también incluye los organismos
gubernamentales y las administraciones del estado, concediéndonos una parte importante de
nuestros méritos en cualquier proceso de selección del tipo concurso-oposición. No importa en
qué sector te muevas, en general, el inglés siempre te aporta ventajas con respecto a otros
candidatos que no dominan este idioma, proporcionándote un mayor número de posibilidades de
promoción interna dentro de cualquier empresa, así como a la hora de tener acceso a mejores
puestos de trabajo.
2. Es el idioma universal
Hablar del inglés es hablar del idioma universal por antonomasia, el idioma más empleado a la
hora de realizar comunicaciones internacionales, sobre todo en el importante mundo de las
transacciones comerciales y las finanzas. Hablamos de la lengua oficial de numerosos países,
entidades gubernamentales y organismos internacionales tales como las Naciones Unidas (ONU),
la Unesco o la Unión Europea, entre otros. La realidad es que la lengua inglesa es ampliamente
hablada en numerosos puntos del planeta. Las razones son principalmente históricas y políticas,
se remontan a la importancia que ha tenido el Imperio Anglosajón a lo largo de la historia más
reciente, en la cual, con cada conquista, con cada acuerdo, se iba extendiendo el idioma de
Shakespeare por todos los continentes. La irrupción de los Estados Unidos como principal
potencia mundial, hoy en día, ha terminado de consolidar el inglés como idioma universal, aquel
que nos permite superar más fronteras y barreras lingüísticas.
3. Acceder a una mejor educación e información
Si dominamos la lengua inglesa tendremos acceso a una educación más completa y podremos
consultar una mayor cantidad de información que si nos limitamos a dominar únicamente nuestro
idioma natal. Para empezar, podríamos ingresar en cualquier universidad o centro formativo de
dentro y fuera de nuestro país, sin que el idioma sea un impedimento. Tendremos acceso a una
mayor cantidad de libros, publicaciones e información en general que se publica masivamente en
este idioma universal. Con el inglés podremos conocer toda la información más actual y hacerlo
de una manera más completa, hablamos de las investigaciones más recientes, de artículos

científicos o divulgativos, toda clase de publicaciones de tipo académico, tecnológico o científico

que se escriben mayoritariamente en inglés. Por no hablar de que más de la mitad de los sitios
web que pueblan la Red están escritos en este mismo idioma.
4. Es el idioma más aprendido
Curiosamente, el idioma español es el segundo idioma más hablado en todo el mundo, en cuanto
a número de hablantes nativos se refiere, sólo superado por el idioma chino. De aquí, podríamos
deducir que no merece la pena aprender inglés ya que conocemos un idioma que es más hablado
por personas “nativas” de todo el mundo. Nada más lejos de la realidad, puesto que el inglés es el
idioma más aprendido como segunda lengua, lo que hace que a la larga haya mucha más gente
que habla inglés con respecto a la población que habla el resto de idiomas masivos (incluido el
chino y el español). Se estima que hay cerca de 400 millones de nativos de habla anglosajona y
una cantidad similar de personas que lo aprenden como segunda lengua en todo el mundo,
superando en conjunto a cualquiera de los idiomas a los cuales hemos hecho referencia antes. Por
si fuera poco, la mayoría de los idiomas actuales contienen una gran cantidad de anglicismos que
utilizamos a diario sin ni siquiera ser conscientes de ellos. Por tanto, en cierto sentido, si
aprendemos la lengua inglesa entenderemos mejor nuestro propio idioma.
5. Aprender nuevas culturas
Acceder a nuevas culturas siempre es una manera eficaz de seguir aprendiendo y creciendo como
personas. En ese sentido, aprender inglés es fundamental para acceder a estas nuevas culturas,
para aproximarnos a nuevos estilos de vida, a pensamientos muy diferentes a los nuestros. Con
este idioma universal podremos entablar relaciones con gente de todo el mundo, hacer nuevos
amigos en cualquier lugar, conocer interesantes personas que tienen mucho que enseñarnos y de
cuyas costumbres podemos aprender largo y tendido. Comparar nuestra cultura con otras, nos
abre la posibilidad de descubrir nuevos aspectos de nuestra personalidad que hasta ahora
desconocíamos, recapacitar sobre nuestra forma de ver la vida y en general, mejorar como seres
humanos.
6. Es fundamental para viajar
Si te encanta viajar alrededor del mundo, no hay mejor manera de invertir tu tiempo y dinero que
en aprender y dominar el inglés. En el momento en el que domines este idioma, podrás viajar por
todo el mundo sin miedo a que no te entiendan o a no poderte comunicar con los demás de una
manera efectiva. Viajar es siempre una experiencia enriquecedora, cuanto más se viaja más se
aprende y si consigues dominar el inglés podrás viajar a cualquier rincón de la tierra, puesto que
este idioma se habla en todos los continentes y siempre encontrarás alguien con quien puedas
comunicarte en caso de necesidad. No hay nada más estresante que una situación tensa por no
poder comunicarte bien con alguien cuando sales al extranjero, así que con el inglés podrás
superar la barrera de los idiomas y disfrutar de cualquier viaje plenamente. Para empezar, es el

lenguaje de oficial de un montón de países de todo el mundo (Reino Unido, Irlanda, Estados
Unidos, Canadá, Australia, Nueva Zelanda, Malta, así como varios países asiáticos, africanos y
de Centroamérica). Sólo con visitar dichos países tendríamos entretenimiento para rato pero al ser
un idioma internacional también podríamos viajar a muchos otros países sin problema alguno
para comunicarnos.
7. Motivación personal
Hay pocas cosas más gratificantes que aprender y dominar un nuevo idioma y, en el caso del
inglés, no es tan complicado conseguir este objetivo. El inglés es uno de los idiomas más
accesible que existe, más si tienes la motivación adecuada y le dedicas el suficiente tiempo. La
sensación de euforia que siente uno al dominar este idioma es algo inenarrable, no tiene precio.
Obviamente, no vas a conseguir este objetivo en dos días pero, poco a poco, trabajando
correctamente y dando pequeños pasos en la dirección adecuada, te aproximarás cada vez más a
tu meta final. Decidir qué quieres aprender inglés es el primer paso y una vez tomada esta
decisión el resto viene rodado. El proceso de aprendizaje es ilusionante ya que a medida que
amplíes tu vocabulario y tus conocimientos de gramática, entenderás mejor a los demás y podrás
comunicarte de una manera más fluida, hecho que hará que se incremente tu confianza en ti
mismo y que disfrutes cada vez más utilizando el inglés. Aprender un idioma es una de las
herramientas de superación personal más potentes a las que puedes acudir, una que te permitirá
superar tus miedos y poner a prueba tus límites.
8. Disfrutar del arte y literatura
Dominar el idioma inglés te da acceso al amplio abanico de posibilidades que te ofrece la cultura
anglosajona en cuestiones artísticas y de entretenimiento en general. Empezando por el particular
humor británico del que podrás disfrutar a través de numerosas series y programas de televisión,
películas o libros, a los cuales podrás acudir en su versión original, sin necesidad de traducciones
ni subtítulos, evitando perderte dobles sentidos, juegos de palabras, metáforas, bromas o chistes
ingeniosos que sólo tienen sentido en inglés. La literatura, el cine, el teatro, la música y la cultura
en general, adquiere mayor riqueza cuando la disfrutamos en su idioma original, apreciamos
todos los matices, todos los detalles que hacen grande a una película o a una obra de teatro,
incluyendo los acentos de los personajes, la peculiar voz original de algunos actores que nos
perdemos con los doblajes, podrás leerte clásicos de la literatura en su versión original sin miedo
a interpretaciones erróneas que a veces cometen los traductores, entenderás las letras de las
canciones cantadas en inglés sin necesidad de traducciones externas, comprenderás mejor los
argumentos de las películas o los guiones de los espectaculares videojuegos actuales. Tú pones el
límite, cuanto más alto sea tu nivel de inglés, más desafíos podrás completar.
9. Adquirir nuevas habilidades
Al aprender un nuevo idioma mejoramos nuestra capacidad comunicativa en general, no sólo
podremos relacionarnos con los demás de una manera más fluida al utilizar ese idioma, sino que
incrementaremos nuestra agilidad mental y conseguiremos exponer cualquier idea que queramos

transmitir de una manera más clara y ordenada, independientemente del idioma que estemos
utilizando. Al obligarnos a dominar un nuevo idioma, las capacidades y habilidades que
adquirimos al comunicarnos con un público nativo distinto al nuestro, harán que mejoremos
intelectualmente y tengamos mayor capacidad de asimilación y aprendizaje, entendiendo e
interiorizando más rápidamente las ideas y respuestas que nos transmiten otros o que percibimos
a través de los medios de comunicación (televisión, radio, prensa escrita, internet), la literatura u
otro tipo de publicaciones. Está demostrado que aprender una nueva lengua produce una serie de
estímulos en el cerebro que incrementan nuestra capacidad de concentración y mejoran otras
habilidades relacionadas con distintas áreas del cerebro que son las que nos permiten ser
creativos, razonar, resolver problemas, por poner sólo un pequeño ejemplo.
10. Hacer frente a tus debilidades

El saber inglés te evitará tener que pasar por situaciones embarazosas en las que puedes verte
inmerso por no dominar este idioma, por ejemplo, quedar mal en una entrevista de trabajo en la
que se dirigen a ti en inglés porque exageraste tu currículum vitae, viajar al extranjero y no poder
comprarte algo que te gusta porque no sabes cómo hacerlo y muchas otras. Es hora de hacer
frente a tus puntos débiles, el primer paso es admitir que necesitas ayuda con el inglés y acudir a
profesionales que te ayuden a mejorar tus habilidades idiomáticas.
11. Es una excusa para irte de vacaciones
Con la excusa de aprender inglés o de hacer algún tipo de curso de idiomas en el extranjero,
puedes pasar unas vacaciones de ensueño. Los viajes al extranjero son la mejor forma de
aprender el idioma, se produce la famosa inmersión lingüística en la que conocemos de cerca la
cultura y costumbres de las personas nativas que hablan dicho idioma. Es una oportunidad de oro
para continuar mejorando nuestro inglés mientras conocemos gente interesante y descubrimos
mundo, visitando lugares espectaculares que nunca olvidaremos. No son pocas las personas que,
a la hora de recordar sus mejores vacaciones, afirman que viajes al extranjero con motivo de
estudios para el aprendizaje de un nuevo idioma, han sido experiencias absolutamente
inolvidables.

¿POR QUÉ LAS PERSONAS DEBERÍAN MOTIVARSE A HABLAR INGLÉS?
Para trabajar: El inglés nos dará acceso a una mejor educación y por lo tanta a la posibilidad de
un mejor puesto de trabajo. Nuestras oportunidades laborales se multiplicarán en cuanto
dominemos el idioma. Tanto en áreas gubernamentales como en empresas multinacionales, sin
importar tu campo de trabajo, el inglés te aportará siempre ventajas a la hora de ascender o
acceder a otro puesto de trabajo, ayudándote a mejorar tu situación laboral actual.
En educación e información: Otra importante razón para aprender inglés es que podremos
acceder a una educación mejor, sin limitarnos a las universidades o centros de formación de
nuestro propio país. Además, nos dará acceso a información más actual y completa, conoceremos
los últimos avances y podremos acceder a la mayoría de textos científicos, académicos y
tecnológicos, escritos en inglés. Según un estudio más del 56% de los sitios de Internet están
editados en inglés.
Para viajar: Hablar inglés te permitirá viajar alrededor de todo el mundo y darte a entender.
Podrás disfrutar de tu viaje plenamente ya que el inglés se habla en los cinco continentes, y te
evitará situaciones estresantes causadas por la barrera del idioma. Además de ser el idioma franco
en casi todo el planeta, el inglés es el idioma oficial de numerosos países como Inglaterra,
Irlanda, Estados Unidos, Canadá, Malta, Australia, Nueva Zelanda, así como algunos países del
Caribe, Asia y África. ¡Imagina todas las posibilidades!
4. Otra cultura: Estudiar inglés es importante porque te mostrará otras culturas, estilos de vida y
diferentes formas de pensar. Podrás conocer gente nueva e interesante y comprender sus
costumbres. Te dará de esta forma la oportunidad de verte a ti mismo con otros ojos, y tal vez
descubras aspectos de ti o de tu cultura en los que no habías recapacitado antes.
Superación personal: Aprender inglés es más fácil de lo que piensas, y el orgullo que sentirás
cuando lo hayas hecho es indescriptible. Recuerda que se hace camino al andar, y una vez
superado el primer paso (decidir qué quieres aprender inglés), el resto viene seguido. A medida
que vayan aumentando tus conocimientos y vocabulario; cada vez que notes que entiendes mejor,
tu confianza en ti mismo también irá aumentando.

CONCLUSIÓN
En conclusión el inglés es totalmente necesario dado su gran cantidad de beneficios como a la

hora de viajar disfrutemos más gracias a que podamos comunicarnos mejor, no solo por los
beneficios deberíamos aprenderlo ya que es sumamente importante para ayudar con nuestra
realización personal y esto debería ser uno de los motivos para emprender una marcha hacia el
aprendizaje de este importante idioma el cual nos abre las puertas a una nueva cultura, a una
herramienta más en nuestro aprendizaje y por ultimo a cuidarnos contra enfermedades como el
alzhéimer

JUSTIFICATION
This work began as a simple idea to raise awareness of the latent need to learn English the same
that motivated me to take it to be physical, I could not leave it as a simple idea, it really was
necessary for someone to translate the importance and need to know the language and much more
in Buenaventura.

BACKGROUND
The English language has come a long way: what began as a dialect of invading towns, was
enriched with the contribution of various cultures to become the most important language
worldwide. Here's a review of this interesting story.
English in our day
English is a Germanic language of the Indo-European family. nowadays is the second most
spoken language in the world after Chinese. However, English is the most widespread language
in the world and is on track to become the universal language. Here are some of the reasons that
explain this supremacy over other languages such as French, Spanish and Arabic:
1. It is the official or co-official language in more than 45 countries.
2. Half of all business agreements are conducted in English.
3. Two-thirds of scientific studies are written in English.
4. More than 70% of all emails are written and directed in English.
5. It is the language par excellence of the science of our day: computing.
6. Most international tourism, aviation and diplomacy are conducted in English.

Origin and History

English is the most spoken language in the majority of countries around the world and it has
converted it in the universal language when we speak about communication with people who
speak other language.
That's why thinking about take courses, beef up or study it from home with friends, has become a
latent necessity and it is something fundamental to be in the current job market.
1. It is so important speaking about people who must travel a lot, knowing English is
indispensable so as to our communication, even on basic things like taking a taxi, buy
food, buy some flowers, etc.
2. We do live in an environment very influenced by English, no matter that we live in s
country who speak Spanish, also we need the English in our daily routine, in every
moment because it can be used either reading a tag in our shampoo or our food, we need
it.
3. If we are business people and we use to make huge treatments it is impossible that you
don't find a customer who does not speak our language and the most probably is that
he/her speak the business language (English).

IMPORTANCE OF SPEAKING ENGLISH IN BUENAVENTURA.
Mastering English language in a port city like Buenaventura, has become a requirement for
professionals who are offered jobs outlined in activities related to the management and
administration of port services, since Buenaventura is a territory that links the exchange of
services and merchandise or products between Colombia and other countries. Since our country
is a producer with a mixed economy, Buenaventura strengthens and stimulates foreign trade with
greater care.
Likewise, given this economic pattern between countries, the strengthening of strategies aimed at
serving port and trade services generates a boom in jobs whose supply requires academic
knowledge on issues related to foreign production and the management that such production
requires for be commercialized in our country.
Thus, when several countries are related to carry out economic activities, nationalities also come
into play and language plays an important role in this relationship, it is how the need for
language-trained personnel to make this relationship possible arises. Since Buenaventura is a
point of commercial exchange between countries, the person dedicated to the management of
Computer equipment and Software programming must have the relevant knowledge for their
operation.
It should be noted that, in addition, Buenaventura being a port city; It has a great demand at the
tourist level, so it generates consecutive income from people from abroad, this encourages people
to be educated in the language and thus obtain a better job offer in the territory.

WHY IS IMPORTANT TO LEARN ENGLISH?
There are many good reasons to study English...

1. It is essential to work
Without a doubt, mastering English is essential to have a better chance of finding a good job. If
our knowledge includes the command of this important language, we will be considered better
prepared candidates and we will more easily access more relevant positions within any company.
The increase in our job opportunities is spectacular when we master a language of the importance
of English, since we will have access to all kinds of multinational companies or those that operate
in international environments, in which workers are of different nationalities and English is the
language chosen to communicate with each other. This also includes government agencies and
state administrations, granting us an important part of our merits in any selection process of the
competition-opposition type. No matter what sector you work in, in general, English always
gives you advantages over other candidates who do not speak this language, providing you with a
greater number of possibilities for internal promotion within any company, as well as when it
comes to having access to better jobs.
2. It is the universal language
To speak of English is to speak of the universal language par excellence, the language most used
when we conduct international communications, especially in the important world of commercial
transactions and finance. We speak the official language of many countries, government entities
and international organizations such as the United Nations (UN), UNESCO or the European
Union, among others. The reality is that the English language is widely spoken in many parts of

universal language. With English we will be able to know all the most current information and
do it in a more complete way, we talk about the most recent research, scientific or informative
articles, and all kinds of academic, technological or scientific publications that are written mostly
in English. Not to mention that more than half of the websites that populate the Network are
written in this same language.
4. It is the most learned language

Interestingly, the Spanish language is the second most widely spoken language in the world, in
terms of number of native speakers, only surpassed by the Chinese language. From this, we
could deduce that it is not worth learning English since we know a language that is more widely
spoken by “native” people from all over the world. Nothing is further from the truth, since
English is the most widely learned language as a second language, which means that in the long
run there are many more people who speak English compared to the population that speaks the
rest of the massive languages (including Chinese and Spanish). It is estimated that there are close
to 400 million native English speakers and a similar number of people who learn it as a second
language around the world, outnumbering any of the languages we have referred to before. As if
that were not enough, most of today's languages contain a large number of anglicisms that we use
every day without even being aware of them. Therefore, in a sense, if we learn the English
language we will understand our own language better.
5. Learning new cultures
Accessing new cultures is always an effective way to continue learning and growing as people.
In that sense, learning English is essential to access these new cultures, to approach new
lifestyles, to thoughts very different from ours. With this universal language we will be able to
establish relationships with people from all over the world, make new friends anywhere, meet
interesting people who have a lot to teach us and from whose customs we can learn long and
hard. Comparing our culture with others opens up the possibility of discovering new aspects of
our personality that until now we did not know, reflecting on our way of seeing life and, in

over the world without fear that you will not be understood or that you will not be able to
communicate with others in an effective way. Traveling is always an enriching experience, the

always find someone with whom you can communicate in case of need. There is nothing more
stressful than a tense situation due to not being able to communicate well with someone when

For starters, it is the official language of a lot of countries around the world (United Kingdom,
Ireland, United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Malta, as well as several Asian, African
and Central American countries). Only by visiting these countries we would have entertainment
for a while but being an international language we could also travel to many other countries
without any problem to communicate.
7. Personal motivation
There are few things more rewarding than learning and mastering a new language, and in the
case of English, it is not so difficult to achieve this goal. English is one of the most accessible
languages that exists, especially if you have the right motivation and dedicate enough time to it.
The feeling of euphoria that one feels when mastering this language is something indescribable, it
is priceless. Obviously, you are not going to achieve this goal in two days but, little by little, by
working correctly and taking small steps in the right direction, you will get closer and closer to
your final goal. Deciding that you want to learn English is the first step and once this decision
has been made, the rest follows. The learning process is exciting because as you expand your
vocabulary and your knowledge of grammar, you will understand others better and you will be
able to communicate in a more fluent way, a fact that will increase your confidence in yourself
and that you enjoy each time more using English. Learning a language is one of the most
powerful self-improvement tools you can turn to, one that will allow you to overcome your fears
and test your limits.
8. To enjoy art and literature
Mastering the English language gives you access to the wide range of possibilities that Anglo-
Saxon culture offers you in artistic and entertainment matters in general. Starting with the
particular British humor that you can enjoy through numerous series and television programs,
movies or books, which you can go to in their original version, without the need for translations
or subtitles, avoiding missing double meanings, word games, witty metaphors, jokes or jokes that

you advantages when it comes to promoting or accessing another job, helping you to improve
your current employment situation.
In education and information: Another important reason to learn English is that we will be able
to access a better education, without limiting ourselves to universities or training centers in our

will know the latest advances and we will be able to access the majority of scientific, academic
and technological texts, written in English. According to a study, more than 56% of Internet sites
are edited in English.
To travel: Speaking English will allow you to travel around the world and make yourself
understood. You will be able to fully enjoy your trip since English is spoken on all five
continents, and it will avoid stressful situations caused by the language barrier. In addition to
being the Frankish language in almost the entire planet, English is the official language of many
countries such as England, Ireland, the United States, Canada, Malta, Australia, New Zealand, as
well as some countries in the Caribbean, Asia and Africa. Imagine all the possibilities!
Another culture: Studying English is important because it will show you other cultures,
lifestyles and different ways of thinking. You will be able to meet new and interesting people and

In conclusion English is totally necessary, given its great amount of profits as when it comes to
travel we enjoy more thanks to the better communication, not only for the benefits we should
learn it as it is extremely important to help with our personal realization and this should be one of
the reasons to undertake a march towards learning this important language which opens the doors
to a new culture , to one more tool in our learning and finally to take care of us against diseases
such as Alzheimer's
