Ferrari 412 mistery picture

I just uploaded this picture of the 412 to the picture gallery on my shared Google Drive.
At first I thought it was a picture of the brochure. But apparently it's not. Since this
one doesn't have a license plate it's very likely a picture from the same photo shoot
(judging on the ruine background).

In case you have missed it; on the side bar I did create a picture gallery. By now
I think I have uploaded most known official pictures. If you think I'm still missing
some or if you have a special one then please submit them.

Quartet : Ferrari 400 GTS

I saw this one on Ebay, thought it was a nice item to add for the blog. And no, I didn't buy it.
Typical, I just noticed now it's printed in Dutch.

1986 Ferrari 412 Overview

Someone created this page with an overview of the Ferrari 412 but you can also select the other models. Not very special, seems like it's an automated page that collects pictures from Flickr and YouTube clips. So just for the records only:

EPS uitlaten / exhaust Ferrari 400

Yesterday I also catched this tweet from EPS uitlaten (Dutch exhaust manufacturer).

A very basic tweet and I thought to ignore it. I knew however my 400 was also equipped with this brand. It was done by the previous owner. Out of curiosity I visited their website http://www.uitlaten.com/

To my great surprise I noticed they had pictures of my 400 with specific comments regarding the tailor made stainless steel exhaust system. This was carried out in 2005. I do have the bill and other supporting drawings. Of course I made a snapshot of the website windows. Look at the clean bottom. When I purchased it last year it was equally as clean. See supporting pictures below.

Ferrari 365/400/412 Koni Load-leveler`s modification

Today Cinecars  launched another new classy video:

http://www.cinecars.nl/driving-queen-mary/

I did happen to meet this guy when I visited the TT Assen about two months back, see blog:  http://erwin400.blogspot.nl/2014/06/ferrari-400-auto-italia-assen-2014.html

I was more or less introducted to him by the Cinecar guy who drove along with me. A very friendly and modest guy. In the past he used to be the service mechanic of mister Kroymans and his 250 GTO -  how cool is that:

This Cinecar posting triggered me to check his website http://www.lapreclassics.nl/ (still partly under construction). It does also contain a webshop with various parts. In the Ferrari section I noticed these new modified Koni shocks for the 365/400/412:

http://www.mijnwebwinkel.nl/winkel/lapreclassicparts/a-27555300/ferrari-parts/ferrari-365-400-412-koni-load-leveler-s-modification/

Load leveller`s modification. We are the only supplier in europe!
Instead of the old leaking load-levellers and rare to find we offer NEW! modification shockers for Ferrari! Custom made by Suspension Centre in cooperation with Koni

Clearly I will add this company to the sidebar

Ferrari 365GT4 2+2 brochure

I recently obtained this brochure for a fair price. It's properly scanned and now added to the download folder. Quite a quality difference compared with the other scan I found in the past.

Ferrari 400 Dress up essentials

Dress up to drive in style:

Clearly the right shades to wear are the time period Persol sunglasses designed by Pininfarina :

Which I do happen to have. In fact, I was triggered by that Petrolicous article at the time.
See hereby my co driver wearing it

Top Gear episode - featuring Ferrari 400

The following video is mostly about the Maserati QP but it has a small footage on the 400 as well.
Typical, I like all of the cars presented it this Top Gear episode.

I scored this publicity card and the rest of the series in one buy. Thought it was a nice addition to have:

Book - De Agostini : Le Ferrari Granturismo - Ferrari 412 1985

A book I recently purchased via Ebay. But it was not worth it in my opinion. I couldn't be bothered to scan it entirely. The content is more or less a copy of the 412 brochure.

Ferrari 400/412 speedometer

I saw on Ebay this speedometer for sale:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/-/161388829334?roken=cUgayN

This can't be right:

Perhaps it should read miles. Also the logo is missing and the needle is different. I can testify the 400 is capable in running above 200. On this snapshot it's showing 230 km/h. On GPS this was a real 210 km/h. At some point I got it at 6000 rpm and about 250 km/h, so I guess my 400 was still capable running a real 230 km/h and still had a little left.

Classic Park - Brown Ferrari 400 Manual + Carburettor

Today I was driving on the A2 and spotted this car museum "classic park" . I recalled it as it's fairly new and they had a 400 for sale. So on my return I visited the museum. It's not huge but a very nice collection. Almost all the cars are for sale. You can view them online:

http://www.classicpark.nl/nederlands/collectie/voorraad

For the records and the blog I made these pictures:

I didn't expect any 365/400/412 pictures being send after my previous post. But the first one just arrived. Bring it on! Merci Sebastien, c'est une belle!
