Summary
Brian’s laugh is startled out of him, and he slaps a hand over his mouth to contain it, but he’s still grinning, mostly directed at Eddie. “You what?”
Eddie grins back. “You told me to do something joyful.”
“Well, I’m sorry I missed it,” Brian says, his smile softening. His eyes are—sparkly, almost. Eddie stares at them in wonder.
“So,” Buck says, very loudly. “A priest in a gay bar. Never seen that before.”

Summary
“We have to kill him,” Mike finishes fiercely, and for a second, Will pictures him in full paladin gear, making the same speech in a castle, or a magical forest, or a dark dungeon. He’s every bit the boy Will’s always known, the one who stands up for his friends and his principles and never, ever backs down. Even when the odds are against them. Even when they’re impossible.
Will swears that he can feel electricity crackling in the air, Mike’s last sentence settling on the group like a physical weight. Everyone looks impressed: Jonathan, Hopper, even Owens. Will knows the look on his own face must be incredibly obvious, incredibly stupid.
He doesn’t care. That’s the Mike he knows. That’s the Party’s leader.
That’s the boy Will fell in love with.

Summary
“So you don’t believe in curses,” he says carefully, wrapping his brain around it, “because you think you deserve everything bad that happens to you?”
“…Yeah,” Eddie says, after a moment. “That sounds about right.”
Buck looks back through the sliding glass doors, at the shadowy figure of Tommy, still fast asleep on the couch. “Maybe I don’t believe in curses, either,” he whispers.

Summary
There’s a joke in here somewhere, probably. If he could figure out how to word it right. Hey, so we’ve both been broken up for a while—those Army days, man, shit gets lonely—
So, a widower walks into a bar, and he hasn’t been held by someone he loves in years.
So, the last time I was close to you, really close to you, I was restarting your heart. Isn’t that funny? We can laugh, right? You can laugh. It’s funny.
Jesus Christ.
Eddie rolls over in his empty bed, mashes his face back into his pillow, and forces himself to fall asleep.

Summary
Above him, Eddie makes a sleepy sound, tightening his arms around Buck’s chest. “Buck?” he mumbles. “You up?”
Buck lets out a long breath, settling gratefully into Eddie’s hold. “Yeah,” he says quietly.
There must be something in his voice, because Eddie frowns down at him, lifting a hand to stroke over his cheekbone. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” Buck says, and actually means it. He presses his face to Eddie’s sternum, feels his pulse against his skin, and breathes. “Nothing. I just—I had a dream that you were mad at me.”
—
buck and eddie are finally together, and everything is perfect. except, well—buck’s been having dreams.

Summary
Eddie clamps a hand over Buck’s mouth. “I swear to god, if the next word out of your mouth is ‘Target’—” Buck licks, as slobbery as possible. “Gross!” Eddie exclaims, pulling away to wipe his hand across his pants.
“Actually I was going to say the Glendale Galleria,” Buck argues.
Snorting, Eddie says, “Yeah, but only because you want to go to the Target in the Glendale Galleria. On the day after Christmas. Like a lunatic.”
“It’s three floors! And you know that’s when they have the best sales! The longer you spend arguing with me, the longer people have to buy all the good stuff. I want a Terry’s Chocolate Orange.”

Summary
Buck kissed him. It didn’t feel like a declaration the way kisses usually do. It didn’t feel stifling. It felt like a plea. It felt like exactly what he said, like don’t go. Buck is still getting over Tommy, and Eddie is straight, and the two of them—it’s easy between the two of them.
The engine roars and Buck turns to look at him, eyebrows raised as if asking if he’s ready. Eddie nods, swallows, and puts his head back. Buck kissed him, and they won’t talk about it, and Eddie’s fine with that because really, Buck’s the only thing that’s ever been easy for Eddie.

Summary
Eddie tilts his head. “Why are you being so weird, Buck?”
It’s funny to Buck that Eddie has to ask; one finds out his ridiculously hot best friend is now also sleeping with men, one begins thinking about sleeping with said ridiculously hot best friend. It just makes sense, right? So it almost offends him, a little bit, that Eddie is the picture of cool right now. Has seeing Buck in such a deliberately sexual context not altered Eddie’s brain chemistry, too? Does Buck need to update his Grindr profile?
or,
Buck catches Eddie on Grindr and now he can't stop thinking about it.
