Summary
After defeating the Flag Smashers, Bucky Barnes lives a quiet life in New York with his cat. Without any missions or court-ordered therapy, all he has is time, until he gets a call from Sam about a resurfaced Hydra cell in Siberia. Bucky joins Sam and Joaquin Torres to take down the base, but when the base turns out to be a lab researching superhumans with most of its test subjects dying or dead, he wants nothing more than to go back inside his quiet apartment where the worst thing is Alpine’s litter box. Then he finds the only survivor, an invisible boy.
And Bucky’s life is far from quiet after that.

Summary
Bucky is adjusting to being in the 21st century. It's going along fairly well, especially with Sam helping Bucky start to open up about his past as the Winter Soldier. Yet even after opening up to Sam, there's one event in particular Bucky refuses to speak about. All he gives is a date: October 24th, 2006.
Sam has a lot on his plate. Along with helping Bucky open up a bit, Sam also is trying to help himself admit that his feelings for Bucky aren't exactly platonic. But both of these things aren't exactly a walk in the park, especially when Sam discovers a vile event that Bucky endured- and not at the hands of H.Y.D.R.A.

Till the end of the line right? Until Steve’s super human body couldn’t hold itself together and he died in Bucky’s arms, because the idiot was too prideful to ask for help. Now, after the whole FlagSmashers mess, Bucky doesn’t know what to do with himself. The distraction was helpful, and he now has some sort of place at the Wilson family’s home, but he just misses Steve.
