Finally being able to flee from Hydras grasp, the reader is helped and taken in by the Avenger team. After integrating into the team and making fast friends, she tries her best to face the world she was cut off from with positivity. Being the complete opposite to Bucky, although you have lived through similar trauma, your presence shakes his life up. Climbing the walls he so carefully built, the two of them soon find themselves in a tango of unresolved feelings.
I am not the best at summaries :) but the story focuses on the developing relationship and minimally on their trauma or work as superheroes. The romantic tension starts around chapter 3

Meanwhile, Kamala's excitement and curiosity are at an all time high when she finds out that a fellow student at Coles Academic High School is also potentially a mutant. A high-achieving senior, volleyball and soccer star, all while unknowingly possesses the mutant gene. Kamala, eager to recruit him for her ideal superhero team, plans to approach him, despite feeling intimidated by his popularity.

OrPeter forms the Young Avengers, which leads to him butting heads with them and having to be their father figure all at the same time. Plus, a new kid just found out he's a mutant and Peter has to help with the whole secret identity fiasco of it all. Oh also, a world ending threat is imminent, can't forget that.

At long last, her gaze slid away from holding Agatha hostage to answer Wanda’s question.
“Hi neighbour, I was just passing by and thought it polite to introduce myself. I’m Rita Valdez, I live at number 17, just right down the street from here”.
