Hinata Shoyo wasn't dumb nor was he bad at volleyball. You can't be bad at something you have played since childhood with your cousins there to guide you but he had to pretend, for fame in sports or being a model student meant recognition and popularity and what if his father came knocking at their peaceful doors again because he found out where they were because of Shoyo.

Hinata Shouyou is a top U-17 player in beach volleyball back when she and her family lived in Brazil. She started playing beach volleyball when she was 7 and became a professional player at the young age of 10. Her incredible speed and skills earned her nicknames among the Brazilians, 'Ninja Shouyou' and 'Pixie of the Beach' for her gorgeous looks.
When she turned 15, her mother told her that they had to return back to Japan due to her job. She was sad that she had to leave behind her friends and teammates behind. Her coach advised her that she can still play volleyball by switching to indoor, only that it would be hard to adapt from beach volleyball to indoor volleyball.
Shouyou struggles, having to adapt with the differences between beach volleyball and indoor volleyball but she isn't one to give up that easily. She will prove to everyone and show them that Ninja Shouyou is as lethal in indoor volleyball as she was in beach volleyball.

"Join our team! Please!" Kageyama shouted along with everybody else in Karasuno's mens volleyball team. Heck, even Tsukishima was about to say something too, if only the little jerk didn't stop himself in the last minute.
It's begging. That's what were they're doing right now. Almost kneeling at the short orange haired boy that's in front of them. They had been asking this request all this time but the boy had yet to change his mind.
I hope this time is different. Kageyama thought hopefully. But when he met those disinterested amber eyes all he could do is gulp nervously.
"You all are really starting to annoy me" he said flatly. His irritation clear in his eyes despite how his face is impassive.
'Dammit. Why can't you just say yes already!' Kageyama screamed into his head
