Disposables are known to be mindless, senseless creatures; wicked souls that only know a lust for flesh, for blood, and sometimes...both.
But, when he is found - bearing a tag and a tattoo numbered #666 - and Lucifer discovers he not only speaks, but also possesses the ability to read and to write...everything that is known about the Disposables and their role in Hell quickly comes into question.

The chosen vessel is a miraculously tenacious subject.
It was the only one of batch 478-AX to survive the rigorous tests, it particularly shone in the witchlight containment experiments.
Most subjects would die or succumb to the effects of the potent energy source with a small dosage. It could withstand the required dosage with little difficulty, only having a small increase in agitation with the higher dosage.Now that the host’s conscience has been transferred, he has requested us to continue testing his new vessel; starting today with the endurance test. We will keep the vessel awake for as long as possible with mild electrical stimuli. This will give the host the chance to recuperate from the procedure before taking over the body permanently.

A team of researchers is confined to a barracks and assigned to contain a Nidus titled TS-41, commonly known as the Rashgarden. It's a unique strain of the Bloom which requires extreme precautions in order to be handled. An outbreak of such a strain would cause a mass extinction, and therefore the end of life on Earth as humanity knows it.
Skyler and Declan are two members of the post dedicated to maintaining the particularly hostile, mutated strain of the Bloom. Sharing unspoken feelings for one another, they coexist with a lukewarm, yearning friendliness, and nothing more. When a Rashgarden expedition goes horribly wrong, the two primary field researchers are put out of commission, settling a death sentence for the entire barracks.
