There's an ancient legend that tells of a demon that lives deep in the forest, cruel and merciless, where he kills and eats the flesh of girls who invade his home, leaving no traces behind.
They say that the demon is actually a very old woodcutter, who spent so much time living alone that he ended up going crazy.
Years passed, the girls stopped disappearing and the story became a legend that was no longer taken seriously. The demon was no longer feared, but rather underestimated.
However, the older residents still warn girls of all ages, because no one is sure if he is no longer in the forest, but that does not mean that they are not still in danger.
Something that no one knew was that the demon was not so lonely after all, there was a family, several generations of the same family lived in this same forest, isolated from everyone. Waiting for the right moment to claim another victim.

As you get to know them better, you find yourself drawn into their world while trying to understand what’s going on with your memories. Little do you know, there's more to your connection with these heroes than meets the eye.
Eventual MC x Donatello relationship. A remake of Donatello and April's original relationship dynamic, but slow burned and unrushed, so they can build a true friendship before discovering that either of them have feelings for the other.

“Hm?”
Kiryu watches her with a frown starting. He’s probably thinking he could have warned her better. Haruka wishes he would stop thinking. She keeps this all to herself so it doesn’t hurt him; they’ve both been through enough. To Haruka, his pain is worse. He’s had almost forty years of it. Haruka has had only ten.
“How’s school doin’?” Goromi asks, head tilted. Her blonde curls fall in her face. She’s pretty the same way Haruka thinks Uncle Goro is pretty. Her eye is soft; Haruka can see the worry in them.
“Fine,” Haruka replies, and turns away from an eye that can see right through her.
She feels terrible when Kiryu sighs through his nose, and Haruka doesn’t know why she feels this way. Uncle Goro is safe, and good, and makes her feel like she’s not alone in caring for her father. Goromi makes her think of her mom.
There’s a sharp thud, and when Haruka looks back up, Kiryu is wincing and grabbing his shoulder. Goromi looks away innocently. “I’ll go get lunch put away,” he says, and skulks into the kitchen.
Haruka gives Goromi a look. “You can just ask him to go.”
“Ain’t fun or subtle,” she says.
