If there's one thing Bi-Han feels the most after becoming the grandmaster of the Lin Kuei, it's undoubtedly "boredom." Utterly boring.
This is a timeline of peace, with no wars or archenemies, and the development of the Lin Kuei is thriving. The god of fire managing this timeline is very kind and powerful, so there's no need to worry too much about foreign invasions.
Hanzo's arrival was sure to make this utterly boring world a little more interesting. Of course, the premise is that the great God of Fire was not aware of this news yet.

The tatami by the sliding doors was covered with a thin sheen of ice. He slid it open, gently, and the frost cracked a little as the panels moved. The man he was chasing sat on the floor, leaning on the slightly raised bed, clutching the futon in his hands. A path of thin ice was leading to the entrance of the room like a trail of spilled water.
Kuai Liang’s hunched frame was shaking, his breathing ragged - by just looking at him, you could tell he was weeping, but nearly no sound came from his lips.

When Scorpion came to this point in time, Hanzo Hasashi made one last dying request: Love and Protect Kuai Liang. Lost in this new reality, the young wraith tries to reconcile many conflicting thoughts and feelings: grief, the fear of moving on, and the scariest of them all - who the Grandmasters were for eachother, and what is this new affection he feels for the older man?
At the same time, Kuai Liang is fighting a similar battle - can he really let go of his feelings for Hanzo and accept that he's gone for good?

In youth when the blue eyed child was taken away from the warmth of his mother's arms and into the cold, cruel embrace of the Lin Kuei order, Kuai Liang found himself lost without guidance nor direction. He knew nothing of the world.
At least, he had a brother.
Growing up to be heartless, being taught to be bitter, with the only one he cared about in the world was his only family, Bi-Han wondered if he would ever be free from this confinement he called home.
So young and lacking the voice to dissent, Bi-Han had to obey the rules of Lin Kuei and watched silently as Kuai Liang slowly followed in his bloodstained footsteps.
Time went on... Paths diverted, strangers were met, blood was lost, loves were found.
Was there a way out? A way they didn't have to be smeared in sins and be together as brothers? Were their bonds destined to be severed?May fate tell.

Sure the zaterran doesn't have time for anything else, right?
At Earthrealm Tomas Vrbada isn't going trough his best era; yes he's living a peaceful live in the new clan but his mind keeps messing with him all the time. The constant threat of his brother Bi-Han, constant nightmares about a ritual, and the ridiculous amount of random people appearing out of thin air, presumably from other time lines, has the Czech ninja at his limit. He wishes he could meet his reptilian friend more often, his mere presence enough to make him feel more at ease. He never had a friend who he cherished as much as Syzoth, guest that's what a true friend does to someone.
