The tatami by the sliding doors was covered with a thin sheen of ice. He slid it open, gently, and the frost cracked a little as the panels moved. The man he was chasing sat on the floor, leaning on the slightly raised bed, clutching the futon in his hands. A path of thin ice was leading to the entrance of the room like a trail of spilled water.
Kuai Liang’s hunched frame was shaking, his breathing ragged - by just looking at him, you could tell he was weeping, but nearly no sound came from his lips.

When Scorpion came to this point in time, Hanzo Hasashi made one last dying request: Love and Protect Kuai Liang. Lost in this new reality, the young wraith tries to reconcile many conflicting thoughts and feelings: grief, the fear of moving on, and the scariest of them all - who the Grandmasters were for eachother, and what is this new affection he feels for the older man?
At the same time, Kuai Liang is fighting a similar battle - can he really let go of his feelings for Hanzo and accept that he's gone for good?

由于警探搭档设定实在是久经不衰的经典模版，所以给这个设定单独开了一个时间线。总的来说是俩人是警局搭档的设定，以及本文的Earthrealm是一个类似于阿拉斯加/育空的地区。
尽管是现代社会设定并且所有登场角色都是普通人类，但是本文不可避免地含有很多超自然元素。本时间线的老雷被邪恶的同人女泰坦赋予了某种超自然能力（被动触发），因为这个能力可以给他带来巨大的痛苦。
主要内容其实是日常，没有任何推理元素！对，没有任何推理元素！
至于本文的灵感来源则是口嗨之“警探老雷摸完辛诺克护符昏迷在褴褛飞旋醒来后发现他弟说你醒啦我们去探案吧你徒弟还在外面的树上挂着呢”这样的奇怪展开。顺便一提此口嗨与正文成品没有任何联系。
