Summary
"He leans into the touch of the person beside him. It's a male arm, warm against his bare skin and rough in the way the fingers grip at his side in sleep. He nuzzles into the feeling, lets his head lull into the space the other man's neck creates so they can be close. He smells like cheap tequila and spearmint. Buck thinks it's familiar."
Or, another buddie bachelor party hookup.

“Um… okay?” he raises his eyebrow. “Help me out how?”
At this, Hen inhales sharply, like she’s getting ready to share the worst news Buck could ever hear. He braces himself. “A PR relationship?” she says, smiling sheepishly.
He stares at her.
“A PR relationship,” she repeats, like she thinks he may not have heard her.
Buck blinks at her. “You want me…” he laughs, “to fake date a random musician I’ve never met to expel rumors that I’m not a real bisexual?” he shakes his head, laughing in disbelief.
“Yes?”

Summary
It’s been 5 years since that day when Buck’s whole world crumbled. When he lost the love of his life, family and home all at once. He tried to keep in touch with Chris, he really did. But time and distance made it go further and further between the calls, and eventually they died out, transitioning into a venmo for birthdays and Christmas’s.
He never spoke to Eddie again.
Not until he gets that phone call.- - - - -
The man freezes at the sight of him and Buck sees how his eyes widen in shock. For a moment they just stare at each other.
“Buck..?” Eddie eventually says hesitantly, eyes darting behind him towards the road, almost like he was looking for an explanation for his presence behind him, and Buck clears his throat before lifting an eyebrow.
“Well. You look pretty good for being on the brink of death.” He states dryly. -

Summary
If there is one thing Buck will always do, it is help people. Doesn't matter what sort of danger it puts him in, or who the person is, he will jump in feet first and get the job done. When he's alone in a parking lot late one evening, of course he's going to run towards the woman yelling that her father is having a heart attack. Why wouldn't he?
When he doesn't show up for his shift the next morning, Eddie and the rest of the 118 immediately know something is very, very wrong. But this time, there's not much they can do about it. There's no ladders to climb, no debris to move. Buck just isn't where he's supposed to be.

Finished at 60k words, posting 2-3x per week. Also, the fic will be illustrated! Not every chapter, but a fair few. -

Summary
Buck takes a deep breath, “I, uh, god please don’t laugh at me.”
“I won’t,” he promises, deep worry seeping into his bones.
“I haven’t uh-” he licks his lips, “well, Tommy isn’t-”
There’s a beat, an awkward, tense pause, that Buck breaks by groaning and setting his head in his hands, muttering an exasperated, ‘I can’t believe I’m telling you this.’ Eddie watches as Buck spirals, not knowing how to help, he only slowly drinks his water.
or
Eddie's far too perceptive and Buck is far too pent up.

Summary
Eddie entered the room, dimmed the lights, closed the door behind him, and took a deep breath before he turned around. When he faced the bed, all breath exited his body. His lips formed a name, but his voice stayed mute.
“Buck.”
A deep purple-blue bruise blocked the familiar birthmark. A cannula pumped oxygen into the unconscious man’s nose and three lines attached to bags hung above him from poles like fruits on trees: saline, antibiotics, and painkillers, Eddie guessed. Bandages blocked injuries on Buck’s forehead, neck, chest, arms, stomach, and likely more places beneath the baby-blue blanket that covered the lower half of his body. More bruises dotted his skin - dark clouds in a pale sky. Buck’s right hand, wrist, and lower arm sat caged in a cast. And shallow cuts shaped like the letter “V” dotted his pale skin. Eddie didn’t count, but there had to be over a hundred.
The kidnappers tortured Buck.
Eddie vomited into a trashcan full of empty blood bags.

Summary
Buck didn't really understand belief woven through fear. He'd sit behind Bobby in the engine and note him take a minute sometimes, and he knew that everyone had their own way of coping but -
He just thought that someone meant to protect you wouldn't really need you to ask. Or repent for not asking.

Summary
“Want a distraction?” Eddie asked, titling his head almost… playfully?
Buck glanced at the empty bottles. “Isn’t that what the beer was for?”
“That’s just making you more sad.”
Buck frowned at his friends observation. Just cause it was true didn’t mean he had to just accept it. He looked at his best friend, at the hopeful but hesitant glint in his eyes, and thought fuck it. May as well try something else. “What did you have in mind?”
Eddie shuffled closer to him, until his knee poked Buck’s thigh. Buck felt his stomach flip, unable to look away from the intensity that had suddenly appeared in Eddies eyes.
“You trust me don’t you, Buck?”
Buck nodded slowly, breath hitching as Eddie began to lean in---
Or Eddie comforts Buck after "Buck begins" and it end up with them becoming friends with benefits which isnt a stupid idea, right?
(Idiots in love with a side of Eddie's internalised homophobia)Set roughly throughout season 4 and 5 but ignore any inaccuracies for the plot, thank you :)

Summary
Eddie was—
Eddie was.
Eddie’s brown eyes flashed behind his eyelids whenever he closed his own. His voice echoed in his head as he laid down to sleep. He imagined his sharp canines sinking into his throat every time he wrapped a hand around himself, biting into his knuckles until they bled to keep quiet.
He wanted. He craved. And that was his problem.
He knew Eddie better than anyone, and worse, Eddie trusted him.
Eddie trusted good ole reliable Buck, the best friend, the babysitter, the guy to call in a crisis. He didn’t know about the cavernous hole that housed a snaggled beast, hidden behind his organs, in a place Buck didn’t have a name. He didn’t know how fucked up and needy Buck was.
So, Buck did what he did. He plastered on a smile, was punctual to every movie night, joked with Eddie in between every call, and tamed the lonely monster that nipped at his heels, inching closer and closer every day to ripping open his carotid artery
Or, the one where Buck wants, wants, and wants.

But, of course, Eddie continued to ignore his feelings for his responsibilities and responded “The universe does not scream,” and moved on.
Evan Buckley was the one thing in his life that could convince him that the universe and all its magic and fate were real. Eddie wishes he listened to Buck that day, wishes he opened the locked dark room he resides in and let the sunshine and magic that is Evan Buckley in, let him convince Eddie that the universe does listen.
But he opened that door too late.
And he found out the hard way that, yeah, the universe does scream.
