Amaha Masane and her daughter Rihoko are on the run from a government child welfare agency that wants to take Rihoko away from her mother. They are caught and Rihoko is taken away. Meanwhile, Masane is attacked by an advanced weapon that can disguise itself as a human being. When faced with the danger, a strange light emits from her wrist and she transforms into a powerful being. She destroys the weapon and consequently becomes involved in a struggle between unscrupulous organizations, with her at the centre of their attention, because she wields the legendary Witchblade.

It may not shine but overall its a nice anime, with absolutely no fanservice, an advise don't expect a full packed action anime, for a "shounen" the fight are very low, but very worth, recommended

from comic to anime interesting story with action and gore.awesome character design and maybe one of those that you keep watching because of its plot and not because of ecchi. i get addicted to this anime...

A surprising anime, for the best. while i was dragged to it for the comic, and I admit not for the best aspects, I found myself caught in a rather touching story. at first i felt it would be corny, but the show
pulled through amazingly well. i think is better than the comic, my only regret is I felt some plo tlines were ended rather abruptly, but nothing that would spoil the show.
Highly recommended.

Simply beautiful, a mother's love for her daughter. I can't describe it in words, this is a must see.
If you like ecchi kind of stuff, I recommend you look elsewhere. This anime is more to 'protect my family' kind.

I must agree with everyone else on this one. I expected a lot of ecchi and plot that was just an excuse for it. Instead, I would call it sexy rather than ecchi and pretty decent plot.

A surprisingly enjoyable watch. Has nice action and some ecchi, too. Even the plot is fairly good.

No idea what the original comic is like, but the anime was actually pretty alright. I was expecting tits and fighting, and it has that, but it's much more invested in the characters than I was expecting it to be. Worth the watch, anyway.

Pretty good fight scene. Way freaking better than the English remake of the movie. Yes way way way better.
